The environmental movement was highjacked 20 years ago by the very same corporate interests the environmentalists were fighting. BP, Exxon, Shell, GE, Goldman Sacks, JP Morgon, Enron (before their collapse), etc have all been throwing billions to pass some kind of Cap and Trade legislation. They are drooling over the profits to be made by packaging up and turning these carbon credits into derivatives.

The only practical way to get change is to torture and execute all those who had a chance to push a simple little button on the ballot for Socialist or Green or Ralph Nader or even write-in a name OTHER than Demopublicans yet who refused to take this easiest of actions. Self Importance? I've been to Europe, Asia and Africa. I've seen the world and its people. I've seen lots of pride and "self importance" in other countries. Your Proving it in your responses. Totally understand the term, but I'm from Australia so I know the best place tyo hang my hat mate. As far as the US becoming more socialist, come on man really, you can pass through congress billions and billions of dollars to Wall St (really please) to bail out the greedy tools that destroyed the economy, but it is such a major task to get a fraction of that money to achieve a universal (well not really) health care system that Europe and other parts of the world have had in place for decades.
