Perhaps you should give it a try. While put yourself into a category? I have a 2001 mustang GT with a Kenne bell supercharger and the civic is a bit quicker and a WRX with a upgraded turbo. I enjoy them all. You would too. Just to throw it out there you can't afford to buy a car that revs as high as my civic, the technology is outstanging. My mustang is fun in it own junky kind of way LOL
@ajpturbopittsburgh i should say i will never drive fwd or civics again? i have driven them many times b4 and didnt like it and i prolly will some time in the future driving a friends car or something its just not me. and yes actually u can build and or buy many engines that rev higher than yours im guessing urs revs up to around 10k? becouse its prolly highly built? and high rpm is give and take. for 0-60 it is better to have a low to mid range reving engine topping out at 7 to 8k for top speed
@ajpturbopittsburgh you would want a high revving engine. for street car racing you want to condense your hp and tourqe to the rpms that you will be spending the most time in. for instance there is no reason to go to 8k rpm if your peek hp is at 6500 rpm you would want to shift at 7k so the peak hp would be in the middle of each shift. higher rpm does not in any way mean better. for 0-60 a 600hp ford v8 with the cars weight being 1343kg will do a faster 0-60 than an f1 car becouse the peak hp
@ajpturbopittsburgh is at a lower rpm and the tourqe is much greater so it can throw the needle up to peak hp quicker also where a f1 engine doesnt even have 300tq. so basically for 0-60 low rpm engines are better
@Twotex187 For street tires you want to slightly heat them but not so much as to make them tacky and to clean off stones, dirt and debris and to dry off the water from the water box. Basically it helps you hook up better.

Stock tires? thats a lot of traction for 3500rpm launch on stock civic tires? Great time for the 1/4 mile. But theres no need to lie about tires those are probably drag radials, Good job.
@JCRUZTURBO The civic Si has a limited slip differential from the factory. I ran a 2.15 60' So yeah they are the stock tires. Stock michelins from Honda my friend. If I had drag radials my 60' time would be about 1.9 and I would run high 11's. But thanks for trying to call me out. 3500 rpms is not alot for a 4 cylinder that doesn't make a lot of torque
lol u always need a roll cage. anytrack requires half to full cage and have certan steps for that... after u hit a low time i had to have a full cage in mine with any track i went to.... unless u took plumbing and painted it and just stick it in their to fool the inspectors
@ajpturbopittsburgh actually u are wrong... go lookl up nhra regulations and u will see what i am talking about with the roll cage... most and almost all state's maindate a roll cage after 11.99mph in a 1/4 mile.
