question: I have been a ret pally since vanilla wow and concecrate has always been crap. It takes half our my mana and it does 6000 damage total after 10 sec. So what is the advantage of using it
mm.. Skill > GS. you can put on the wrong gear to have higher gs or you can gear correctly and pull out more dps but with lower gs. its one of the worst things to happen to wow. i haven't played in a month and i had around 6060gs on my paladin.
Nurai@Ner'zhul, look at my armory and see how to gem. Str > Crit > Agi > Haste is what i go for in stats. never gem for socket bonus unless its 100% beneficial or for meta gem (21agi/crit) which all you need is the nightmare tear
i used to use avenging wrath after gathering 5 stacks of seal, but realised that i was missing the trinket proc from death's verdict, so now i use it at engage...what do u think is better?
@cacat10000 I haven't analyzed the data on that to be honest. But with something as random as a proc, you can't really time it with your other dps abilities. By putting up Avenging wrath first, you ensure it's use later in the fight. If you wait too long, the fight could be over and not get a chance to pop it a second time. I guess it really depends on how quickly your target goes down.
@mcmuffins333 You've probably heard, it's not the gear score, it's the player and the gear. I've seen people come in with high gear scores but have only pvp gear on that dps at 1.5k dps. I'd need to see you're gear and stats to properly evaluate.

@keelord It's always better to get the stuff you can't get out of VOA first. Get the shoulders then if you can hold off, the chest or helm. Save the gloves and leggings for last. There's also a chance for some pretty cool PVP gloves to drop from frost boss there as well that give 5% to one of your abilities.

@DTBrowser Yeah there have been some concerns regarding the rotation. I pulled them off elitist jerks a while ago. They were for 2 t10 and 2 t9. Things change if you have all t10. This video was made for beginners. But I should have mentioned it in the video.
@MegaBudda123 On the contrary, pushing keys makes things easier. Just use the number keys on your keyboard, and memorize the order of the spells you have put on your hotbar. I usually leave my left hand on the numbers 1-4 and put the abilities that I most frequently use there. I let my left index finger shift to hit 5 and 6. I use my right hand for movement. Also the F1 through F12 can be assigned in the menu. Watch my tanking basics video it will show you how to set up other keys.
@ABAZAMB Have you tried using Rawr? It's a program that you can import your character's stats and gear into. It calculates the optimum way to gear for you using what gems and what gear you have. It also allows you to preview the dps change in other pieces of gear available.
Your FCFS rotation is wrong, its CS/Judge/DS/Con/HW/Exo I dont have the time or space to explain, but in short using this Rotation in will keep more abilities on cooldown "longer" since that is the goal, using your rotation method you will constantly have two or more abilities coming off CD at the same time (or within GCD) causing a huge dps lost over time.This method also lowers the need for Divine Plea, helping on long burn encounters like Saurfang, Festergut, Rotface, Bloodqueen and Lich King

@GlowRaver800 get a razer mouse, you can bind like 10 abilities to the buttons on the side of the mouse, and then use the mouse to turn, as mouse turning is helluva lot faster ;0

@nechiken Holy wrath affects all undead and demon targets within 10 yards for 3 seconds. There is no limit to the number of mobs that this spell can target, so it's great for dps. Especially in ICC 10/25 trash. However one should try to watch the other pallies in the party to ensure they don't use theirs at the same time because it not only damages the targets but stuns them as well.
@soothingpickefinger If you have the 2set t10 bonus,you're most likely spending a lot of mana on those DS procs. As far as I know you can only do two things to help with this. 1. Use divine plea early in the fight. So that it might finish it's gcd around the time the boss is at 10-20% Then you can pop it again. 2. The use of a runic mana potion in the middle will help you out while you wait for divine plea to reset.
@88Baylor i tried out ur tips they help good but also my rotation does LOADS! of dps and my manas gone with in 2-4 minutes into a fight so usually i have bean trying switching to that seal that gives me 2% mana on chance on hit but then i notice a drastic drop in dps im gonna watch ur vid again see if i can get any new tips from it

@wowpwnx TBH, if a DK knows what they're doing, they'll be highly competitive with pallies. However, there is one fight in particular that is just really bad, and that is the Putricide fight. The DK has a few abilities that allow them to attack at range that give them the advantage as dps, but pallies have a few things that help out with raid utility that make up for it.
cool vid, found a few things helpful, but u might wanna mention in later videos that Seal of Vengance is the Alliance version of Seal of Corruption, and ive heard that herkmul (or w/e) trink (60 emblem AP one) is horrible for str dps classes b/c they dont get a pure AP boost but just a pure str boost
and to add a simple thing, theres an addon called snowfallpresskey which is required aswell in dps, simple, instead of releasing the ability, or spell after u remove ur finger from the number, it would press it by the time u press it.
Additionally without set bonus and librams most paladins will be lost. It would of been more formal to include formations and progretions for low geared paladins
Achually over a series of test I've conducted that without that libram seal of command does up to 600 more dps than vengence on single targets, it is also prioritized that concencration be up before your additonal burst dps is issued due to it's incredible dot which will end up doing more dps than over time than the bursts themselves
could you PM me your armory? because there is no way in hell that SoC can beat SoV on single targets on fights longer than 25 or so seconds. also, conSEcration never has a high priority, since it A) does not keep a buff up, B) does not keep a real debuff up, C) cannot crit and D) does not proc a seal. the only reason that consecration can be higher DPS is if you have a massive number of targets (10 or so).

Yes I needed on the orb.I established that in the beginning of the run, that all should need on the orb because that was the time that ninjas were taking the orbs when everyone else was greeding.This video was taken right before they released the patch making orbs more valuable,and people were ninjaing like crazy.The need was preestablished.

@nojamesmypie If you're having mana problems, it could be a spec thing. Are you specced 5 points in benediction? Also make sure you use divine plea to keep mana up as well. I can't tell you any more without seeing your characters spec and gear. Hope this helps
Another thing, I bought 5 primordial saronite for emblem of frost, and then I let a BS make Hellfrozen Bonegrinders for me( 264 str feet) . But the thing is that I can get 264 that is a little bit better from Lady Deathwhisper 25 man. But I'm not available to join ICC 25 with guild, and then I have to pug. And in pugs there are like 6 melee's that will need on the feet if they drop. Should I keep the feet or sell them?
@SweSk8ter Hey, while it has been recommended to use SoR in conjunction with the SoR glyph for putricide, I would have to say that it is situational. For 10 man's it's unnecessary, and on 25 mans, if you can keep your stacks of vengeance up consistently, SoV is better. However this means you have to position yourself between the slimes and PP to properly be thrown towards him with the explosions. If your raid team is having problems downing adds quick enough, you might go SoR because Tear Gas.

To answer your question, while it is very observant of you to notice that haste affects weapon swing time, ultimately, numbers have been shown on the dps values of the various trinkets. I think it really depends on what you plan on replacing. For example, Whispering Fang Skull > Herkuml War Token > Greatness. Ultimately, for raids, no i wouldn't swap unless switching with DMC:Greatness.

@ss4broly0 There is no soft or hard crit cap. However, 30% is a good number to shoot for. Naturally, you will notice dimishing returns the higher you stack this stat.

You may want to change the priority order of your aoe for ICC I find Holy Wrath far out damages Judgement, also Due to its long cool down I like to use it as soon as it pops up.The aoe stun on undead isn't bad either. And finally Libram of 3 Truths is better DPS for all fights longer than 15 seconds. Which is pretty much every fight these days.
The point you make on Holy Wrath is a good one, so long as one properly times Holy Wrath with that of other paladins in the group, or with the cast bars of potentially dangerous mobs. The point is taken as that Libram of Three Truths is clearly better for single target dps boss fights. However, technically, it takes 39 seconds to reach the equivalency of the t9 libram. The data chart is on elitist jerks. Thanks for your advice!

could you PM me your armory? because there is no way in hell that SoC can beat SoV on single targets on fights longer than 25 or so seconds. also, conSEcration never has a high priority, since it A) does not keep a buff up, B) does not keep a real debuff up, C) cannot crit and D) does not proc a seal. the only reason that consecration can be higher DPS is if you have a massive number of targets (10 or so).

@mrpopagiorgio Hey, just thought I'd reply again on the frozen orb thing since you probably didn't get to read my comment about it before from another post. Yes I needed on the orb.I established that in the beginning of the run, that all should need on the orb because that was the time that ninjas were taking the orbs when everyone else was greeding.This video was taken right before they released the patch making orbs more valuable,and people were ninjaing like crazy.The need was preestablished.

@nojamesmypie If you're having mana problems, it could be a spec thing. Are you specced 5 points in benediction? Also make sure you use divine plea to keep mana up as well. I can't tell you any more without seeing your characters spec and gear. Hope this helps

Another thing, I bought 5 primordial saronite for emblem of frost, and then I let a BS make Hellfrozen Bonegrinders for me( 264 str feet) . But the thing is that I can get 264 that is a little bit better from Lady Deathwhisper 25 man. But I'm not available to join ICC 25 with guild, and then I have to pug. And in pugs there are like 6 melee's that will need on the feet if they drop. Should I keep the feet or sell them?

@SweSk8ter Hey, while it has been recommended to use SoR in conjunction with the SoR glyph for putricide, I would have to say that it is situational. For 10 man's it's unnecessary, and on 25 mans, if you can keep your stacks of vengeance up consistently, SoV is better. However this means you have to position yourself between the slimes and PP to properly be thrown towards him with the explosions. If your raid team is having problems downing adds quick enough, you might go SoR because Tear Gas.

@SweSk8ter Hey, sorry it took so long to reply to your message, I've had a busy week in rl. To answer your question, while it is very observant of you to notice that haste affects weapon swing time, ultimately, numbers have been shown on the dps values of the various trinkets. I think it really depends on what you plan on replacing. For example, Whispering Fang Skull > Herkuml War Token > Greatness. Ultimately, for raids, no i wouldn't swap unless switching with DMC:Greatness.

@ss4broly0 There is no soft or hard crit cap. However, 30% is a good number to shoot for. Naturally, you will notice dimishing returns the higher you stack this stat.

You may want to change the priority order of your aoe for ICC I find Holy Wrath far out damages Judgement, also Due to its long cool down I like to use it as soon as it pops up.The aoe stun on undead isn't bad either. And finally Libram of 3 Truths is better DPS for all fights longer than 15 seconds. Which is pretty much every fight these days.

The point you make on Holy Wrath is a good one, so long as one properly times Holy Wrath with that of other paladins in the group, or with the cast bars of potentially dangerous mobs. The point is taken as that Libram of Three Truths is clearly better for single target dps boss fights. However, technically, it takes 39 seconds to reach the equivalency of the t9 libram. The data chart is on elitist jerks. Thanks for your advice!
