yo man i have a question, i doing the same setup as you except im using a mac and eyetv to use my pvr hd, it works fine to record my clips but when i plug that converter into my monitor, not my imac. the monitor says "out of range"? so i dont know actually how to play on my monitor and record on my imac? do you know what else i could do?

Do you lose quality on your monitor once everything is hooked up? When your recording and playing at the same time, is the quality on the monitor degraded some? Or is it perfect as normal?
