  • Title : "Chiense orchestra"

So why does the first 5 seconds say Japan?

  • @ChikoWhat The performance is in Japan? i think...

  • What instruments are they playing? Looks like a hybrid of a Cello?

  • 

  • 

  • to bad they can't drive

  • @MrPrez101 too bad you can't spell

  • aisian style yeaa ;D

  • whats that girl paying at 2:00 ?

  • @lawrencelim93 thanks :D

  • @cowtippingrocks Thats the Zhong Yin Sheng :)

  • I dont know.

  • f£££in' epic

  • 以古乐器奏西曲,古风尽失矣。

  • do you have the scripts for this song?

  • this orchestra is from singapore

  • such beautiful instuments, such beautiful music, a little hifh-pitched for my liking but beautiful

  • cool

  • 1:24 kid in the back wtf hes like 10

  • @uomealot3 no he's just short, omg that was terrible of me, sorry sorry i just wanted to say it, but sure he may be ten but there are very talented children out there

  • @FiddlerAdam It's called 'Sheng' in chinese

  • /watch?v=Z1Omyh6kThM&feature=related

    Much faster version

  • @FiddlerAdam

It appears to be an Organ.

  • 0:42 he's soo into to it. aww X3

  • Japanese Remixx!! it sounds amazing!!

  • Attended the concert last Saturday and enjoyed it!

  • What beautiful robes! I loved the whole performance! So enjoyable!

  • The clothes are chinese. And of story. ;-)

  • @REDMARSH725: Yet the Chinese have had instruments long before the west ever thought of them. So quit being an ignorant idiot.

  • Wow, Impressive.

  • I love this medley! You can tell that they all are really enjoying it on their faces as they play.

  • at 1:48 thats awesome + surprising. I was not expecting to hear that! How wonderful.

  • the 2nd row guy of pipa is young too .

  • 0:30 , that guy is hot lol

  • My friends just told me that the peope sitting at the back row of the eruhu are actually 12 years old only . cant believe lol .

  • all peace.

all have their pros and cons. stop arguing about which kind of instrument is better... you click on the link to enjoy music not to argue and get yourself tense up

  • It is rude way of speaking, but the Chinese musical instrument is inferior to the West clearly.

  • They should play the music faster and include more music by creating more remaining time in this. There's only 4 music tracks in Super Mario Bros, and only 3 of them can be "orchestrated". They should include soundtracks from more Super Mario games. Even the fourth one is from a game called Super Mario World on the SNES.

  • I love it

  • imwkingking

  • @VladtheEmailer get a life

  • mario bros go to in china town lol

  • What a waste of talent. I wonder who's idea it was to arrange crappy video game music for traditional Chinese instruments? I guess the orchestra needs money. Next they'll be playing the hits of Lady Gaga.

  • @VladtheEmaile

r ohhh, you are one of those... how are you jackasses called? Sonysts, right?

  • @VladtheEmailer ok, I admit Mario music isn't the best videogame music ever... but Mario music is the best videogame music ever! (this mistake was on purpose)

and who do you think you are to say this music is crappy? you stupid sonyst!

  • @TransformerLover360 Haha, way more qualified than you, you stupid antagonist.

  • @VladtheEmailer I don't see YOU writing crappy video game music!

  • @Luke876678 That's because I don't write crappy video game music. LOL But don't get me wrong, I think some video game music is great! I'm just not into corny silly clowny stuff. This orchestra might be young, but they are great musicians already.

  • 4:22 oh how cute is he? i wanna buy him a pizza XD

  • I never know if mario brothers theme got the basic melody until I listen to this

  • omg. they would use these intruments

  • @xfuhfellyhelp omg what are you trying to say?

  • the orchestra was nice though, the tempo i guess was slower from the original Mario Bros. Themes..

but all i can say every conductor has their own style, just like Mr. Arnie Roth

..two thumbs up chinese people..btw, i have some chinese relatives and friends..

  • Actually, it's Japanese, not Chinese.

  • wow awesome

  • Who could play better than japanese people?

  • this is awesome:)

  • what instrument is at 1:58

  • @00023smitty Glockenspiel.

  • @00023smitty Oh. I lied. It looked like one. I don't know.

  • @00023smitty It's a very large keyed Sheng

  • the boy playing the xylophone is actually really good looking.. haha

    like at 1:00 for example.

  • Comment removed

  • I see erhu .... so it is chinese instruments

  • To be onest I've stopped caring about the comments repling to me about where these talented musicians are from as many other people probobly have. So I think we should all just do what DefectivePoliceFarce has suggested.

  • The composers hair is so soft...and silky? ><!!!

  • @OrangeFriday Sorry~~~I mean conductor

  • geez how stupid can people get. At the beginning of the vid it says Japan because the piece was written in JAPAN. If they played Baby Hit Me One More Time then it would say USA, get it? The instruments are Chinese, the orchestra is chinese, the music is Japanese. Get it? Geez people really are stupid

  • Just say they're Asian. WOW PROBLEM SOLVED. NO MORE ARGUMENTS.

It's an apple. It's an orange. ITS A FRUIT. Who cares. It's the music that matters

  • the tempo a bit slow ahh..

  • Mario in China!

  • Who cares from where these people are? I don't care if they were from planet 51 !!!

The thing that MATTERS is that these people ROCK!!!!

    Excellent job!!!

  • which part was it that started at around 3:45 ?

  • @strawberryluvhamster Super Mario World Main Title. Search from Youtube to original.

  • man, get down on that cabassa!

  • Good song but much to slow.

  • Wow this is amazing, the combination of eropean instruments with Asian. Just amazing. Sounds are incredible. Bravo

  • awsome and awsome

  • i love how at the beginning it says "japan" but in the title of the video its a Chinese orchestra

  • what it the name of the instrument at 1:57 ?

  • @ErdbeereRot if its the instrument with the gold tubes its sheng

  • @dragon4117 Thank You! I do not know anything about asian instruments. But they sound beutifully here. Can you write please some more names and when can I see them in this Video? Can you study such traditional instruments in Asia at music conservatory?

  • @dragon4117 Thank You very much! :-)

  • @ErdbeereRot its great to know that someone does NOT think im a spammer ^_^

  • @BY2forever You're serious! OMFG, that is so cool :D

  • @ThuyTranxD ya i added him in facebook too

  • They are PAYCO... not frm japan... cos my sisters are actually performing in it.. and they are chinese not japanese...

    Congrats from Mexico City!!

  • el saca punta en segundo 28 jjajaja .. no mentiras

  • Awsomeness...

  • damn the the orchestra must have gotten tired after the first minute of playing this epic song

  • I feel the need to clarify this to some of you

the video is made by a japanese orchestra, but the instruments they use are chinese in origin

  • @amazingmao This is an orchestra from Singapore not from Japan.

  • Japanese... not Chinese

  • Comment removed

  • @timng8 It's a Singaporean orchestra using Chinese instruments... so yes, it is Chinese.

  • THIS IS AMAZING

  • I wish to join chinese orchestra but too bad my school don't have this cca.

  • i thought this looked like esplanade...and it really was!!! ha nice place to perform!! even performed at beautiful sunday! :)

  • If they're Chinese , Why didn't there instruments break like everything else they make?:D

  • @xLesPaulGibsonx Because the Chinese only sell crap to foreigners who can't tell the difference. The stuff they use for themselves is quite good. :P

  • @xLesPaulGibsonx You're an idiot. First, learn proper grammar. Second, tons of American products are junky as well. I've heard of various recalls of US products.

  • teraz to już wszystko z Kitaju nawet Mario

  • They are Singaporean Chinese for sure. The bottom says Japan because this is performed in Japan, not because they are Japanese.

  • @Miracelus esplanade is not in japan sorry

  • They are not Japanese. They are from the People's Association Youth Chinese Orchestra In Singagore. Some instruments are western instruments but most are chinese instruments such as dizi, gaohu, pipa, sheng, ruan, and yangqin are shown in the video clip. Instead of perserving the traditional chinese music (a bit displeasing to the new generation), they are making experiment and pulling others' attention to chinese culture at a acceptable level. Personally, I like this orchestra the best.

  • LOL. its chinese. their from people's association youth chinese orchestra.

  • @s9999999g Orly?

  • @teddy292929 ya. =.=

  • @s9999999g ORLY!?!?!?! ¬.¬

  • WooHoo! And my girlfriend took all of 5 mins to recognize the tune!

  • well they are wearing chinese uniforms..O.o

  • there not chinese ther japanese if you look at the battom of the screen it says Japan with japanese writing next to it. BIG give away, idiot.

  • @teddy292929 lo. its a singapore orhestra. how can they be japanese. its all total chinese

  • @teddy292929 They are Chinese. It says Japan coz the music is japanese. If they played baby hit me one more time it would've said USA. Get it? Idiot.

  • @teddy292929 Uhhh, first of all those are Chinese characters. Secondly, "Japan" refers to the origin of the song, not the orchestra. The orchestra is Singaporean-Chinese.

  • i'd like sm64 orchestera...

  • looks like a band..not an orchestra :\

  • check out "PLAY! Super Mario Bros. Stockholm". It's way better than this.

  • this brought absolute tears of joy to my eyes.....amazing

  • wowowowow!!! fantastic!♫

  • love it at 3:05 xD

  • Where can i download tracks of this?????

  • Mis respetos!!! Awesome Vid!!!

  • really makes me happy when times are melancholy

  • well done but slow :)

  • Yeah, really funny xD Mario Bros. theme in chinese art

  • awesome

  • man, I couldn't find any orchestral theme of the underwater stage. I found this and it proved to be the most light-hearted and soothing melodies I've encountered

  • talk about collision of Modern Western culture and Chinese instrument.

  • Actually Mario was created and popularized in japan so.....

  • @Flailwielder Yes but they are using Chinese Instruments! hahahaha! Now it sounds all different and funny. May I say it has a new Zing to it now :P

  • Wow, So many stupid comments "They're Japanese!" "They're Chinese!!!!" These people are from Singapore, they are a concert orchestra that uses Chinese instruments, and this arrangement (meaning Super Mario Music) was made by Koji Kondo

  • Solution.

    Song: Japanese.

    Instrumenst: Chinese.

    Location: Singapore.

    Mario: Italian
