@Rimfaxe96 I know what you mean but Boomerniv keeps turning out Champion after champion - Latest is Boomshernic winner of the 2010 National Reiners Breeders Classic. The first breeder's classic was won by a Boomernic and 13 years later it is won by a Boomernic. We have a 3-yr old, bred at Silver Spurs, named Da Care Bear that will be Boomernic's next winning Derby offspring. So do not consider Boomernic a horse of the past. - Mike
@SilverSpursEquine I don´t, but Boomernic still reminds me to the past, dunno why^^ Maybe 'cause he is not that over-breeded like many other Quarters I know. ;) I heard about Da Care Bear, I may be an english rider but I also like Western^^ It´s not that difficult to get some info about it; can´t wait for the Derby(s), they are quite amazing to watch :O
@bridlelessgirl Check out our lastest video of Brett winning the 2010 Las Vegas High Roller Classic Futurity on our Hamster (Smoking Whiz). This was Hamster's first competition. It's Brett riding again in the style that only he can perform (many since him have tried and failed). We will be taking him to Oklahoma in November for the big one. Hopefully Brett will topple the Flarida dynasty that has dominated the NRHA for so many years.
Yup, thats my buddy!! I have a 3-yr old colt sired by my Boomernic that is a chip off the old block. His name is Eyanosa (Navaho word for big and strong). Can't wait for the Futurity. Brett Stone on a Boomernic again. A dream come true.
Well, I'm just so glad to hear that Boomernic is still around. I hadn't seen his ads for a few years and thought the worst. Boomernic is my favorite reining stallion of all time. I don't think people realize just to what extent one little horse changed the reining world. The contemporary show reiner's style, confirmation, precision and showability is because of the precidence BOOMERNIC established so many years ago. Please give him one big hug from one great big admirer.
Thank you so much for your kind words. He and Brett Stone (My trainer)really did change the sport of reining forever. I am surprised that you have not seen any of our ads, I advertise him all the time. If you get the QHN you will find a 2pg spread I did on him, in the 12/1& 1/15 issue as well as 1 pg in 12/1 issue. I had Boomernic do a full pg tribute to Topsail (I also own Conquistador Whiz) in the 2/1 issue of both Reiner and QHN. Do you live near Arizona? Want to meet Boomernic?
I'm going to have to look at those issues of QHN now. I've been busy getting colts ready to send south for futurity training. The weather isn't cooperating with us. But, YES, absolutely! I would love to meet Boomernic. I have to travel to Texas in April to check on our colts and could just make my way through Arizona on my way back, since I am driving. How might I get a hold of you privately?
I recall those days of NRHA magazines with Brett, John, Todd and I think even Casey...WOW...those were the 'boys' that stepped up the reining game. AZ reiners is where it's at !!
Really cool riding :D It´s a pity that no one talks about the best names from the past, like Helmut Grass and so on :(
