This is an excellent example of how varied and fluid sexuality and gender are. As Barry you felt like a girl, but identified sexually as a 'gay male', and once you complete you transition you will identify sexually as a 'hetero female'. Now what if, as has happened many times, you find that as you become more feminine in your outward appearance, your sexuality changes as well, and begin to find yourself interested in other women, as a woman? Will you be a lesbian, Bi, Sexually Fluid? Hmmm.
Well, in your case your psycho-spiritual sexuality was female-heterosexual. For you a total transition would align the biological external self with your psycho-sexual inner self, and achieve balance of both body and spirit. For some of us, the hormonal change may cause a realization that our psycho-sexual inner self is always going to be attracted to a physical type that reflects our own physical appearance, regardless of what that may be.
