The Canyonero is the trademark Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) in The Simpsons. It was endorsed by Krusty the Clown when it first appeared in The Last Temptation of Krust. It is a large red SUV and was introduced just as the SUV craze began to hit the United States. The design is basically a parody of the large SUV , It is actually a parody of a Jeep Wagoneer, and while also have simularities to the Ford Excursion

@avran89 Besides, I like my vintage Cadillacs and Lincolns, they all have big American V8 engines and are legitimately better for the environment than any Prius. One, the manufacture of the Prius causes quantam amounts of pollution that it even peaked the interest of the U.S. Government only a  month ago. Also, every recycle a battery? Yeah, good luck with that car when it ends up in a junkyard. In time, through oxidation, earth takes back steel, not batteries.

I, for example, would never get a Smart. Ugly, slow, unsafe and...Did I mention, "slow"? But yet, if you're only using your car only for personal urban mobility a Smart would be a far more responsible choice than a Camaro.

@TheDullahan P.S. the Renault Clio RS, with a 200hp, 2 litre N/A engine, can do the 0-100kph in 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 215kph, all of that with a 34.4 MPG running on Shell V-Power fuel. Also, it's lighting fast on the track. Of course, "vintage" cars cannot be changed to be eco-friendly AND fast. But designers should take new advancement in technologies in account when working on a new car.

@clydeyello I'm equine vet and I have to be able to pull horse and stock trailers or peoples pets and lively hoods die. An ecologic, two or four cylinder car can't pull shit and they are super unsafe (any one of my trucks could mow down your eco car with even getting a dent) Eco cars can't do construction and eco cars can't pull or fit goods either, nor can they fit big families nor can they handle snow or any type of off roading. So bull there is plenty of need for bigger engines.

@princesskirara Very well. Now, you NEED a truck, it's part of your job pulling trailers, so you need a big engine with lots of torque and a veichle accordingly big. But how many SUVs you see on the roads, driven by people that could do as well with a car half as big and heavy? Damn, those German SUVs doesn't even have 4wd and can only sit five, what's the point for them to even exist?

@clydeyello Now that I agree with you on, I'm not a big SUV person. However I guess there is a place for them; I think people with a lot of children need one, but they don't need to be gas guzzlers for that. Not all of them are though, I think Ford makes one that gets like 46 miles to the gallon. However just like with any vehicle though (cars, trucks or SUVs) there are crappy brands that make crappy cars regardless of what they are. Its not fair to hate ALL SUVs because one crappy brand.

@princesskirara Oh, well, when I'm talking about SUVs, I mean those European SUVs, built for the rich people to, shall I say, compensate for other things. They don't have more than five seats, and cannot go off-road. American SUVs, well, most of them are more like adapted trucks (I think the Chevy Suburban was born by adding a roof and seats to a C10's loading bay). While I hate them too, I must admit they have their usefulness.

@princesskirara Also, I've seen my fair share of crashes involving big SUVs and trucks (For that, I mean Euro-big, not those American king-size Fords and Dodges) and small cars like the new Fiat 500/Ford KA or the Renault Twingo. If the SUV isn't designed to be a wall of steel on wheels, the occupants of the small car have good chances of surviving the impact without major injuries.
