Thanks a lot Tim, - I'm traveling at the moment so can't hear your video response, but look forward to hearing it as soon as I get home - Monday -Dennis
That was just gorgeous, Dennis! I've been listening to so much rock (mostly guitar) music lately...this was such a lovely change of pace...very PURE. Best, Joy >^..^<
Oh well, this was the first video I watched, I expect nothing but the best, only problem is I'm on vacations now and the hotel connection is not the best =P
Thanks for replying... Simply beautiful, I mean it :D
Thanks, Dennis =) Fantastic video-- seems to have made a significant difference (in my opinion) with your low register. Glad you like it though!! =) -Suzie-
WOW you have a new flute! I can fell how you feel! And I hear that your sound has much improved. Very nice tune, great player, great flute!!! Thanks to foreverwoodwinds as well...
Excellent performance! I like the tone on the new flute, man. It's very rich. Question...how do you get vibrato out of it? Is that variable air flow, or is there another method? That, and the sharp breaths between...if that was mic'd for performance, how would one avoid picking that up. You never hear it on symphonies, so I wondered... :) Go figure. At any rate, you rock, man! I'd -love- to see you and Audiomancer do a collaboration!
Thank you! My vibrato is the result of varying the air flow with the muscles of my throat. Never having had lessons, I don't know if that's an appropriate way to do it, but it seems to work for me. I have no fancy audio equipment, just a digital camera. Maybe I can learn to breath more quietly. Without hearing the play back its something I have never been aware of. Re audiomancer - your wish is my command -
I always some along and listen to your playing Dennis. The quality of your playing and the warmth it evokes has a real calming influence. And this rendition of a classic song is no exception. Keep up the good work and thanx for sharing your passion on YouTube. It's much appreciated my friend!
What kind of flute do you play? Silver perhaps?

Truely glad you liked it! I'll never be 'beatboxing' though! :-) -Dennis

I will not be beatboxing flute as well ;-)
I myself always play the same old tunes which I learnt (or not) when I was young.
But I will be happy if my daughter continues her advanced techniques for the flute. Hahaha.
