now you see, this is one of the reasons why ronnie is my favorite member of the band. he's not so damn arrogant like flowers, and he just seems like such a chill dude. and he's also a bad fuckin ass drummer. unlike flowers, ronnie didn't say "i think sam's town is one of the greatest albums of all time" he just simply stated that he feels that they were able to work harder on sam's town than they did on hot fuss. btw i like the killers, i just think that brandon flowers is too cocky

Hot Fuss was as hit because it was unusual. It is glamorous and energetic and catchy and upbeat, even songs like Smile Like You Mean it are real singalong type songs. And Sam's Town wasn't that, at all. I really didn't like it anywhere near as much as Hot Fuss.

I don't understand why Sam's Town wasn't as successful as Hot Fuss... ST is their best album to date. Its songs are much more deep and meaningful, not to mention just better musically. I mean I love Hot Fuss, it's a classic to be sure, but Sam's Town really is, as Brandon said, one of the best albums of all time.

The only conclusion I can come to is they're all amazing in their own way, and can't really be compared

Every album they do is different to the last. Day and Age is completely different to there previous two and we have heard music like this in years.

I trust The Killers will always have good songs on each album but never as remarkable as in Hot Fuss. When they recorded it, there was no hype, no pressure, no commercial things and prejudice; Killers were young and fresh band in a positive way - not damaged of a fame, fans or media. If Hot Fuss was demo, then it's the best demo ever.
