The Heartbreakers are incredible -- totally underrated band historically. They ALWAYS sound perfect, and they always sound the same. They've sounded the same for 35 years!!

2007 Super Bowl halftime was the perfect example. Most halftime performers sound like shit live. The Who sounded bad, Black Eyed Peas sounded like absolute dog poo. But the Heartbreakers sounded awesome like they always do.

Every Petty fan should own this 1999 concert DVD "High Grass Dogs: Live at the Fillmore." Since time waits for no one, the band will never look or sound better than they did on those nights in San Francisco.

The 30th anniversary DVD from 2006 is EVEN BETTER than this one shockingly!

The 2006 set list is amazing. My preference for the 1999 DVD is that the band still includes the late Howie Epstein on bass and backing vocals as well as a guest appearance by the late legend Bo Diddley.
