Mattedj, yes and why are oil companies drilling in such deep water? The politicians and environmentalists have driven them out that far, when they could much more safely drill closer to the coast. It is extremely difficult to deal with this disaster, because they are drilling at such depth! Or, how about letting the oil companies drill on federal land where there is a huge amount of oil? The oil companies can control a blow out on land a whole lot easier than a mile under water.
