The elders tell me they'd strap it to their boat and float down stream to a flock of ducks or geese on the water and kill as many as possible with one shot. They say one guy would fire his muzzle loading 12 gauge into the flock which of course would make the rest of the flock take off, then the other guy would fire the big one.
