@Towncrier123 because you're black. obama is not intending to clean up anything. his intention is to make sure the corruption is unchallenged. The insurance companies are not official citizen and the people are official thralls. good job obama. he's doing more of that to his last breath.
Found a cool website, its at squidoo/economypolitics(Don't forget the other parts to the url) Its about the economy, gold, silver, fiat money, stocks, government, tips..etc. Check it out and help spread the website 2!
McCain said the fundamental were "Strong". Obama said "sound", big difference. Obama's meaning was that the economy is very weaken by greed, too much debt, no spending, and no confidence that the free market can be trusted, but that the foundations of our economy: quality workfore, basic cushions, like unemploy and health benefits keep people from being totally screwed. "The fundamentals of the economy are strong" and "the fundamentals of the economy are sound" is a distinction without a difference.
To say the person who said the fundamentals of the economy are sound "knows crap about econ" and the person who said the fundamentals of the economy are sound is a "brilliant pragmatist" is complete partisan nonsense. Not to mention that the economy was dramatically worse when Obama made his statement.
Again, look wat wuld have happened had Mccain been elected. He wuld have jus dumped $400 billion in tax cuts to small businesses (who wuld've hav horded the money, not used it to create jobs and most economists agree is not enuff to even make a DENT in this recession) and called it a day. Obama is trying to tackle this problem form a lot of different angles, Tax Cuts, spending, infrastructre. Not being binded to wat ideology but doing dynamic actions to see wat works to get us out of this.
who is "hording" money? The largest employer in the country is the government. 35 out of every 100 people are employed by the government. So you tell me who is "hording" the money. The fundamentals of our economy have been SHIT for a very long time. I think both McCain and Obama are both morons along with every other elected senator and representative. Stop picking sides those days are OVER. They all need to go and WE need to stop letting the press divide us.
the Repuke Party has it going on though! 1% of the population has DUPED 46.5% of the population into voting AGAINST their own self interest! Now that's payin' it forward!!
Lee Atwater, the father of smear campaigns used to laugh and Yuk it up as he described the SUCKERS who'd fall for thier wedge issues the "extra chromosone" crowd, the ones w/a 3rd eye on their forehead. google it!
@1killertomato you are slime. The republicans are the thinking working class and true americans. you are slime and will have to be killed. this is true.
@nVei06 Your really asking for the killing of a fellow American? Real American? Anyone born in America are Americans, Mr. America. Glad to see you have such love for fellow Americans.
right when he said that there needs to be more cheer leading and less fear mongering. If a big politician, such as Obama, said something like the reccesion will end in another 12 months, who knows, maybe it would. It would definitely help a considerable amount.
Our economy is based off of how much money is in the country and the velocity at which it changes hands, or how fast it's spent or borrowed and such. In my opinion, I'd say we've done a great job of keeping the right amount of money in our country. Yet, with all of these big politicians saying how bad our economy is, people are afraid to spend. I can't remeber when or who it was, but when it was said that the reccesion would end in 2009, the stocks sky rocketed that day. I think Bill Clinton was
Anyone who has taken an economics class knows that the market is very psychological. A leader's job is to restore confidence in the market. This is why President Roosevelt had fireside chats on the radio (sorry Joe Biden), to restore the people's faith in the country and the market. It didn't fix the problem, but it did help. In fact, if FDR had said the things that Obama has said, perhaps the US would have been in a worse position.
All Republicans want to bitch about a billion here a billion there of our country's money! While they pad their friends from Prep school's pockets! We are headed for a class war and I'm glad my entire family is in the military!!!
And in his inaugural speech the Obamafurher now agrees with John McCain:
"We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished."
I'm convinced that this was McCain's "iceberg" moment. After he made that statement, he fell behind in the polls and never recovered (just like the Titanic kept sinking after hitting the iceberg).
THIS IS GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my dad just got laid-off from work and he's a truck driver!!!!!!!!!! well there goes christmas. THANKS G.W. >:( I'm happy obama is elected president!!!! :)
By the way while John McCain was making a stand trying to get reform of Wall Street before it was too late see quotes below and this is on video as well if you need more proof Obama was voting present.
Rest of quote from McCain in 2005 so he warned of an economic crisis
I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
This is the quote from John Mcain during a Senate speech in 2005.
For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Macknown as Government-sponsored entities or GSEsand the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEOs report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.
Anyone voting for this idiot is an idiot. If the "fundamentals" of our economy are strong, then why did we get in to this mess in the first place? (It doesn't take a college education to realize that) If you like Bush's policies, then vote for this man.
If you really want to know why we got into this mess in the first place, (instead of hiding from the truth) search and find out WHY Fannie and Freddie made loans to people who could not afford to and did not want to pay them back. You will find Democrates all over that mess!
With McCain proclaiming "The Fundamentals of our economy are strong" the reality is that any Lingering hopes that the [financial] damage could be contained to a handful of financial institutions that made bad bets on mortgages have evaporated. Expectations for a quick end to the crises are fading fast.
I think its going to last longer than perhaps we would have anticipated, a Wall Street Journal report quoted Anne Mulcahy, chief executive of Xerox Corp. as saying.
You know... the out of context misinterpretation of the American people on McCain's statement just shows how dumb America has become. McCain is NOT saying our economy is strong. He is saying the FUNDAMENTALS of our economy are strong.
It is like saying.... as an EXAMPLE when you build a house. Your fundamental materials needed to build the house are strong. The nails are strong, the wood materials are strong, the paint is good and will last, the pipes are strong, etc. CONTINUED...
The economy of our Economy still strong Johnny Boy?!!! Why don't you try remembering the number of houses you own before you claim you can help us with the housing crisis for the entire nation!!!
Can everyone just agree that he made a dumb statement at the wrong time. He and Bush have been saying "the fundamentals...are strong" ALL YEAR. Naturally, to avaid having to admit that a republican administration is, by default, responsible. Come on McCain, after saying it all year, now you change your definition? That's weak and even a little insulting.
Has anyone conducted a study to see the percentage of statements this old man flip flops on and if so the Average time period it takes him to flip flop.
3 wks ago mccain said the fundamentals of the economy were strong.....then 2 wks ago, the financial crisis was so dire, that mccain had to 'suspend' his campaign....now this week mccain doesnt want to talk about the economy anymore b/c its a loser topic for his sinking campaign....mccain is pathetic bringing up ayers....his navy experience will help him BAILING water.
i was running out of letters sorry ok soo like i said people are rasists and do not want Obama to win so i want all of you to please stop with the obama comments unless they are for good if you dont i will report you and you will loose your acaunt automaticly good bye be safe god bless you
Ok to get started i am a reporter and i report incedents to suppourt tpmtv i do not know eho you want to win the elections but heres the thing , John McCain said the fun dementals of our econemy are strong??? now i dont know how many of you suport McCain but i do not i support obama obama is better because i don't know why people are such rasists and don't like obama because he is black and well if hilary clinton (now suporting obama) was still in the run she will win
"clean up Wall Street"????? He Mccain how about cleaning up the middle class??????? oh yeah i forgot your so up the BIG BIZNESS buttcrack u cant see that the middle class is the ones really struggling here. Like Obama said and i qoute! "Wall street has caught up to Main st" wake up McCain an all the ignorant people that like his policies!
McCain knows nothing ! You can see he was just looking down & reading the notes from his handlers...just like Bush did for the last 8 years .. McCain is truly clueless!! TRULY !!
Look, debating with you is not even a little bit fun. Is it Bill Myer or Bill Maher? Bill Myer is a man that sells things on the internet or is a christian zealot (according to google), or Bill Maher is the man who comments on politics intelligently. I'm a big supporter of finding and deleting hypocrisy. Again I say lets get the ideas out there for discussion. As far as your last two sentences, I can barely make sense of them! What is a liberary and what do you want me to pay for?
Well sorry for typing so fast sometimes. This shit dont have spell check so, shit happens. But I dont care if debating with me is not fun! What debate is fun? Its a bunch of headache! Which leads me to my next statement! You want info on the candidates? Do like i did! GO to the library and research they history! Im not askdotcom! And you aint paying me for info & i damn sure aint got the time to be here all day typing shit so, go to the library and look up they TOTAL HISTORY! Like smart people.
Hey "guy" , The correct spelling of the word you intended to use is "WRITE" not "RIGHT" . You must also be a Bush supporter...he can't spell correctly either !
WELL sorry professor "Reading Rainbow"! The most important thing is you understood what i said so just know that ONLY FOOLS pick a Presidents without RESEARCHING THEIR BACKGROUND, like you obviously did!
This is how mcCain defines 'fundamentals': "he's been in Congress for 26 years. He's been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more."
mcCain has been fundamentally helping to creat this financial crisis. his banker friends have been thanking him, basically.
McCain has gone from 'fundamentals of our economy are strong' to 'we have to suspend the campaign & delay the debates in order to deal with the greatest economic crisis since WWII' in about a week. This is a cynical political ploy designed to help his sagging poll numbers & distract attention from McCain campaign manager Rick Davis was paid $15k a month by Freddie Mac as recently as last month, directly contradicting statements made by the entire campaign as late as Tuesday.
The bankers are repubs & mcCain... ceo richard fuld of lehman bros. departs with $446 million , john thain of merrill lynch gets $83.million and stan O'neal previous ceo for merril lynch departs with $165 million package deal, former ceo james cayne of bear sterns gets $138 million - then before jp morgan chase decides to buy bear sterns cayne dumps his entire stock and pockets $60 million. How can the govt. doll out billions to welfare these corp. when bush/chaney have clean out the treasury.
This guy is such a jerk.. he is running away frm campaign when his rating started to come down....another hypocratic desperate dramatic outburst ...after all he is BUSH'S SUCCESSOR!!!!
I bet MOST people that viewed this dont understand what Mccane said about "the fundementals are strong"
1st define fundamentals!- basic, essentials!
What are Americas basic essentials? Making sure that us the people are working to feed ourselves family and keep the economy strong, and if you look @ the US's stats from then till today, Most Americans do that! and we are the best in the WORLD to do that.
"Making sure that us the people are working to feed ourselves family and keep the economy strong... Most Americans do that! and we are the best in the WORLD to do that."
1) "Most" Americans work, so our fundamentals are strong? Unemployment is up from 5% to 6%.. Does it have to be over 50% before our fundamentals aren't strong?
2) We are the best in the world? Wow. A quick Google search shows that as of July 2008, Canada, Australia, and France all have lower unemployment rates than the US.
I'm not sure I understand.. Are you saying that Americans are the best in the world at "working to feed ourselves family and keep the economy strong," but that the "system" is making it hard for people?
All I said was that 1) "Most" is a bad word to use when talking about unemployment and 2) Our unemployment is higher than other countries.. Saying "we're the best" just sounds like blind nationalism.
first off u misunderstood, remember america is still the strongest country as of now(hopefully it gets to where it use to be in a sense) but is still the strongest, do reaserch on that. And the fundamental that Mccain talk about is the WILL that people wanna make it! you get my point? Note right after he said that he said but we are in a crisis, so its not like he didnt acknowledge that it is fucked up now, but Barack dont say Mc. acknowledged it! The US is definetly fucked right now....
but we still wanna work and aint give up on life! Im not talkin about the unemplayment rate, im talkin about fundamentals!
Besides act like Obama aint say some WAAAYY stupider shit than Mccain! What?!? Want me to prove it? Its gonna take me like 2 or 3 comments with 1000 to 1500 characters used i can bet. WITH ALL BIPARTISAN FACTS i assure you! Test me!
Please dont let Barack's slick political talk scare you, you seem like a smart person. Politics is the dirtiest game on EARTH and look up politician in the dictionary, thats what they all are! Mccain aint no good like that but Aspecially Barack, test me like i asked.
I'm not scared of Barack's "talk".. I haven't really heard of things he's said, recently, but I know McCain is freaking out and halted campaigning to "fix" the economy.. That's more likely to scare someone.
As for our "fundamentals".. I don't think the will of our people can be shown to be strong relative to other people's will.. Fundamentals should mean certain numbers of our economy, and if he was talking about the will of our people, then, well, I'm scared that he might be the President...
My point exactly. Let me ask you. How long have you been studing politics? Cause it dont seem that long, but i could b wrong..
You dont know 4 sure what he meant!! Now if you researched him and his history INSTED OF BELIEVING EVERY YOUTUBE VIDEO YOU SEE, you would have "at most" an idea of who the man really is! I used to be like you! I aint believe nothing any party said unless it was Demo. But this election proved something 2 me, even them are the same as the rest of them, LYing Opportunist
Seriously, you would be more convincing if you actually used correct grammar and information. People do not have to rely on You Tube for their information, as you have at this point. What was McCain point may I ask? Do you know? And can you respond without the "texting" language and elementary grammar. "Cause it don't seem that you can"
Oh and name calling is such a non-liberal trait. I've read your comments. Only a fool says "how the message was said is more important than the message." IF MOST of your research is/is not from youtube, I would love to know your sources, please share! If it's outside of the "let's Google what I need to know" then I REALLY want to know. Other than that, you have responded in the manner of the uninformed, with name calling, list making, and offering body parts in exchange for an actual debate
Look im NOT politically correct with my language...@ all! SO if thats what your expecting then turn on the news, Im like Bill Myers when it comes to speaking my mind, i dont give a hell! What i do care about is making sense out of something And what happened in Michigan & Florida with the Demo. election with the votes not counting was PURE hypocrisy! The party of the PEOPLE MY ASS! But you wanna know about Mccain and Obamas history got to ur liberary and find out what this look like!? U paying?
You still missing the point! Hes NOT denying that! You anit hear what he said right after the funamentals are strong? Well if you heard the debate last night he explained it. Look im not defending HIM or OBAMA im defending the TRUTH on any side!
You can say "the fundamentals are strong" all you like, but unless you define the fundamentals, the statement is meaningless.
Like I said before, you seem to define "fundamentals" as the will of the American people to work, or do whatever it takes.. That's not an acceptable definition.
Did you NOT just hear the video?! He said "the fundamentals of the country are strong", then immediately after that he says, "but these are tuff ass time".
He acknowledge that shit is fucked up! What else can "fundamentals" mean??
Holy FUCK!! Between Obama and the MEDIA, they have the people like YOU who dont know politics to well to believe all of this criticizing assumptions and bias rhetoric thats besides the point! Wake up People!
Its NOT just FOX that lies! CNN and MSNBC does too!
o.O You get mad, you repeat yourself, and you do everything except answer my question: What are the "fundamentals" of our economy? All you say is "he says the fundamentals are strong, and they are"... Most of us don't believe that, but we're willing to listen if you'll give a definition of fundamentals and show that they are strong.
Just.. answer. I want something like "unemployment is going down" or "the GDP is steady," not "he says the fundamentals are strong."
This is the last time im going to say something like this!
1. WE as a people that get up in the morning, afternoon or night and go to work to make money to put back into the economy, keeping a drive to make money!
2. The businesses that are started that makes money to put back into American economy! THESE are the fundamentals of the economy; the root of where the economy work!
If you want a explaination on what hes going to do for unemployment and GPD, look it up! How else do you learn?
Another vague answer, which basically equates to "the fundamentals of our economy are the will of the people." You've defined it in terms of an idea, rather than numbers. It's a definition which can't be tested or applied to get any reasonable information about the economy.
I hope that was the last time you say something like that.
You know what your problem is? You are a hater! Cause only a fool would take a statement that obviously was meant to insurance the citizens that "it wasnt our fault on why the economic state is Ass! It was the big business & the governments fault!" & turn it into sign of ignorance on whats going on & a negligents to address what he was gonna do to fix it! HE SAID RIGHT AFTER FUNDAMENTALS, "WE'RE FUCKED UP!" You Are on the WRONG VIDEO! Look up what he meant by his statement & stop the "Lib Shit"!
The fundamentals of the economy are a strong working community and truthful companies not trying to make an easy buck. Now unemployment rates are seriously low and companies are selling bad loans causing a severe market crash. I can promise you that the market wont crash, and as time goes by, the market is going to keep going high and low, until eventually no one thinks of it anymore. Many things are blown out of proportions by the liberal media, thats why I dont trust the news 100% lib or con
"The fundamentals are a strong working community and truthful companies not trying to make an easy buck,"
"unemployment rate are seriously low and companies are selling bad loans,"
and
"The FUNDAMENTALS ARE STRONG"
all on the same page.
As for whether the market will crash, what makes you think that it won't, when banks go down? Also, maybe you're not for McCain, but if you are, why, considering that he supports the bailout?
I believe the bailout will help settle the market problems, and it might bring some things to all time highs, but as a result some things are also going to reach all time lows, it depends on what you want to see stregthen over what your willing to let get weak.
"I bet MOST people that viewed this dont understand what Mccane said about "the fundementals are strong"
But they're not. Our economy grew by 15% between 2000 and 2006 but the inflation adjusted weekly earnings of the median worker (the guy in the middle) went down 0.7%
"the fundamentals of our economy are strong". Its hard to run away from a statement like that when there are governmental takeovers and bailouts happening everyday.
I used to be a republican no more Im going Democrat. Ragen promised lower taxes smaller government we got the arms race & a huge deficit instead. Bush 1 promised lower taxes (Remember read my lips) & a smaller government we got a tax increase & a large deficit through operation desert storm. They told us Clinton was too young & would destroy our economy with high taxes, we got a strong economy & a budget surplus. Bush 2 now watch our nation debt 300 Billion to 1.1 trillion after the bail out.
Ha Ha Ha All you who voted 4 Bush, you got conned!!! Now the US is in turmoil. They are laughing in your faces rolling in the dough!!! Now the bailout. More taxes 4 U!!! S***ng you over again!!! It's so funny!!!
Obviously you have shiat for brains and are proud of it. I guess redneck retard is the highest level you can hope for in this live. Please kill yourself and at least be a good fertilizer.
This is McCain, a life-long Republican, trying to shed his skin just as the economic realities prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that Democrats have been right all along about regulating major corporations. This is the death knell for conservative free market types and it has come not a moment too soon.
I voted for McCain in the 2000 Republican primary, I despised Dubya then and could see he was driving the GOP to the extreme right. McCain HAS SOLD OUT, and if "John McCain 2000" could see how he has capitulated to the NUTS in the party, he would be sick!
If you're surrounded by a room full of NUTS who think the same way you do, it doesn't mean you're right, it means you're a WEAK follower who will believe anything!!
McCain's fundamental grasp of economic issues is WEAK!
There he goes again. Let there be no mistake about it. REPUBLICAN DEREGULATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MELTDOWN. Adam Smith, father of capitalism said, "Be wary of the businessman for the generally have the interest of decieving the public."
What? No comment by the McCain trolls yet?! C'mon you guys, surely you can spin this pathetic McCain gaffe back onto Obama and the Dems? No? Can't you even bring yourselves to spew out the same ol' worn-out lies?
Mmm... maybe GOP America is finally waking up to the truth after all.
Republicans. Eight years of total failure and nothing new to offer but more of the McSame.
It has never been clearer than it is right now. Obama/Biden 08. The only future that's worth having for America.
kkklassic-asshole: How can anyone take somebody who has a YT profile name like yours seriously?
I mean, why don't you cut the bullshit pretence and just call yourself "Klu-Klux-Klan-Racist-HateMerchant"?
As for the mindless hate-spew in your thread - it's sub-pathetic.
How on Earth are the Dems expected to pass anything through Congress when the majority is 51/49? They need at least 60 votes to pass a bill. When they do, idiot King BushCo comes along to fuck it with a signing statement.
Such inflammatory political statements always seem to lack any evidence to back themselves up. Why is this such a popular pattern that makes people think they know what they're saying?
Your comment is NOT TRUE. You're like John McCain, and that's an insult. All republicans do is lie to get into office! For your info., Obama made about $170,000 in 2007! That's a far cry from $4.2 million. His house was $1.4 million, only 3/4 of what you stated. Also, he may have money now, but he grew up poor. McCain has always been rich. Also, if you do the research, Obama's net worth is $799,000, compared to McCain's $36.4 million net worth. That makes him worth 45.6 times more. Don't lie!
All this shit is going on is good, what american people fail to understand, LISTEN'UP FUCKING american is your leader is selling you out. Let's say banking system goes down, who buying them off and taking over China and other coutry. American dollars has less value, who control the money control american. CHINA WIN!WIN!..Remember ...Vote McCain
Sign that the economy is getting closer to colapse. When banks go under people lose their business and homes. Thanks for yet another failure Republicans. Hope Bush's 3 BILLION a month WAR for what was the purpose again, oh ya to rid the world of terrorists? Has it been worth it. Remember that when you vote.
John Mccain is so out of touch with society it isn't even funny any more. Of course the fundamentals of the economy are strong for "you" BUT mccain most people in America doesn't have a WIFE that is "multi millionaire" or have seven houses to choose from. mccain just doesn't get it, people are struggling, and suffering...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
LOL....And Obama is NOT a multi-millionaire? DO you know that Obama has a $2 million dollar home in Kenwood? That is an area that I am sure that you and MANY Obama's supporters could NEVER afford. Did you know that Obama's income in 2007 was $4.2 million!!!! Did YOU earn anywhere near that? Don't for a minute think Obama's really cares at all about the working person. Obama cars about Obama. He is arrogant. You may be struggling but rest assured.... Obama is NOT!!!!
I have to laugh when he says "We will never put America in this position again?".
John - you, George, the CEO's, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and WALLSTREET could care less about the average citizen. All you want is more money so you can buy more mansions.
"The American worker and their innovation and their entrepreneurship, the small business, those are the FUNDAMENTALS of America and I think theyre strong."
Bush should use that:
"When I said Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, I actually meant they possessed strawberry ice cream."
Oh great, another Great Depression. Oh well, at least we'll be able tell great stories to our grandchildren in the future about how we had to live in a cardboard box and eat our family pets. I guess that's worth something isnt it.
I hope that the economy in the philippines will also grow.

McCain was excoriated in the media for saying the fundamentals of the economy were strong. Obama said the same thing on Friday:

The only difference is now the economy is drastically worse. Where is the outrage from liberals and the media now?

right when he said that there needs to be more cheer leading and less fear mongering. If a big politician, such as Obama, said something like the reccesion will end in another 12 months, who knows, maybe it would. It would definitely help a considerable amount.
buDDee3 2 years ago

Rest of quote from McCain in 2005 so he warned of an economic crisis
I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
keni203 3 years ago
This is the quote from John Mcain during a Senate speech in 2005.
For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Macknown as Government-sponsored entities or GSEsand the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEOs report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.

AlterSpades 3 years ago
CONTINUED ... But the house will only be strong if you put all those fundamental materials together correctly.
If you do a shoddy job of building the house that is not to code, then the house falls apart.
Americans are really stupid. Only the ones that understood McCain are smart.

People are IDIOTS!
So YES the fundamentals are strong!
bigstU25 3 years ago
"Making sure that us the people are working to feed ourselves family and keep the economy strong... Most Americans do that! and we are the best in the WORLD to do that."
1) "Most" Americans work, so our fundamentals are strong? Unemployment is up from 5% to 6%.. Does it have to be over 50% before our fundamentals aren't strong?
2) We are the best in the world? Wow. A quick Google search shows that as of July 2008, Canada, Australia, and France all have lower unemployment rates than the US.
airandfingers 3 years ago
Does that mean that American people just gave up on life? Or does that mean that the way the system is right now is hard for people to get jobs?
bigstU25 3 years ago
I'm not sure I understand.. Are you saying that Americans are the best in the world at "working to feed ourselves family and keep the economy strong," but that the "system" is making it hard for people?
All I said was that 1) "Most" is a bad word to use when talking about unemployment and 2) Our unemployment is higher than other countries.. Saying "we're the best" just sounds like blind nationalism.
airandfingers 3 years ago
first off u misunderstood, remember america is still the strongest country as of now(hopefully it gets to where it use to be in a sense) but is still the strongest, do reaserch on that. And the fundamental that Mccain talk about is the WILL that people wanna make it! you get my point? Note right after he said that he said but we are in a crisis, so its not like he didnt acknowledge that it is fucked up now, but Barack dont say Mc. acknowledged it! The US is definetly fucked right now....
bigstU25 3 years ago
but we still wanna work and aint give up on life!
Test me!
bigstU25 3 years ago
Please dont let Barack's slick political talk scare you, you seem like a smart person. Politics is the dirtiest game on EARTH and look up politician in the dictionary, thats what they all are! Mccain aint no good like that but Aspecially Barack, test me like i asked.
bigstU25 3 years ago
I'm not scared of Barack's "talk".. I haven't really heard of things he's said, recently, but I know McCain is freaking out and halted campaigning to "fix" the economy.. That's more likely to scare someone.
As for our "fundamentals".. I don't think the will of our people can be shown to be strong relative to other people's will.. Fundamentals should mean certain numbers of our economy, and if he was talking about the will of our people, then, well, I'm scared that he might be the President...
airandfingers 3 years ago
My point exactly. Let me ask you. How long have you been studing politics? Cause it dont seem that long, but i could b wrong..
You dont know 4 sure what he meant!! Now if you researched him and his history INSTED OF BELIEVING EVERY YOUTUBE VIDEO YOU SEE, you would have "at most" an idea of who the man really is! I used to be like you! I aint believe nothing any party said unless it was Demo. But this election proved something 2 me, even them are the same as the rest of them, LYing Opportunist
bigstU25 3 years ago
Seriously, you would be more convincing if you actually used correct grammar and information. People do not have to rely on You Tube for their information, as you have at this point. What was McCain point may I ask? Do you know? And can you respond without the "texting" language and elementary grammar. "Cause it don't seem that you can"
liztracy37 3 years ago

5. Kiss my ass!
bigstU25 3 years ago
Oh and name calling is such a non-liberal trait. I've read your comments. Only a fool says "how the message was said is more important than the message." Other than that, you have responded in the manner of the uninformed, with name calling, list making, and offering body parts in exchange for an actual debate
liztracy37 3 years ago
Look im NOT politically correct with my language...@ all! SO if thats what your expecting then turn on the news, Im like Bill Myers when it comes to speaking my mind, i dont give a hell! You've lost me now, I have no idea what you're saying, and it's not because of the way you type.
As for your "I have a lot to say" comment, this comment is pretty short, but you still have errors:
1. "You" instead of "You're"
2. "anit" - what is that supposed to be? "can't"?
3. "funamentals" instead of "fundamentals"
4. "im" instead of "I'm" (x2)
..Take your time, maybe some of us will understand you then, or even take what you're saying seriously.
airandfingers 3 years ago
WoW! you are 1 smart/dumb fuck! Look! The fundamentals are STRONG and the economy IS NOT! YOU GOT THAT!?!?
Damn, to be so exact with your spelling you would think you have some kind of SENSE in understanding what "fundamentals" mean, JESUS!
Read de1043's comment, it cant get no more simpler than that!
bigstU25 3 years ago
You can say "the fundamentals are strong" all you like, but unless you define the fundamentals, the statement is meaningless.
Like I said before, you seem to define "fundamentals" as the will of the American people to work, or do whatever it takes.. That's not an acceptable definition.
airandfingers 3 years ago
Did you NOT just hear the video?! He said "the fundamentals of the country are strong", then immediately after that he says, "but these are tuff ass time".
He acknowledge that shit is fucked up! What else can "fundamentals" mean??
Holy FUCK!! Between Obama and the MEDIA, they have the people like YOU who dont know politics to well to believe all of this criticizing assumptions and bias rhetoric thats besides the point! Wake up People!
Its NOT just FOX that lies! CNN and MSNBC does too!
bigstU25 3 years ago
o.O You get mad, you repeat yourself, and you do everything except answer my question: What are the "fundamentals" of our economy? All you say is "he says the fundamentals are strong, and they are"... Most of us don't believe that, but we're willing to listen if you'll give a definition of fundamentals and show that they are strong.
Just.. answer. I want something like "unemployment is going down" or "the GDP is steady," not "he says the fundamentals are strong."
airandfingers 3 years ago
This is the last time im going to say something like this!
1. WE as a people that get up in the morning, afternoon or night and go to work to make money to put back into the economy, keeping a drive to make money!
2. The businesses that are started that makes money to put back into American economy! THESE are the fundamentals of the economy; the root of where the economy work!
If you want a explaination on what hes going to do for unemployment and GPD, look it up! How else do you learn?
bigstU25 3 years ago
Another vague answer, which basically equates to "the fundamentals of our economy are the will of the people." You've defined it in terms of an idea, rather than numbers. It's a definition which can't be tested or applied to get any reasonable information about the economy.
I hope that was the last time you say something like that.

Many things are blown out of proportions by the liberal media, thats why I dont trust the news 100% lib or con
de1043 3 years ago
I don't understand how you can say:
"The fundamentals are a strong working community and truthful companies not trying to make an easy buck,"
"unemployment rate are seriously low and companies are selling bad loans,"
and
"The FUNDAMENTALS ARE STRONG"
all on the same page.
As for whether the market will crash, what makes you think that it won't, when banks go down? Also, maybe you're not for McCain, but if you are, why, considering that he supports the bailout?
airandfingers 3 years ago
I believe the bailout will help settle the market problems, and it might bring some things to all time highs, but as a result some things are also going to reach all time lows, it depends on what you want to see stregthen over what your willing to let get weak.

Cornplanter 3 years ago
When people talk about AVERAGE wage of US worker being high don't buy it. Here's how they do the math:
Let's say you have five guys making the following salaries: A = 101 B = 1 C = 1 D = 1 E = 1
The AVERAGE salary of these workers is 21. What you NEED to look at is the MEDIAN salary which is the guy right in the middle (1).

McCain's old ass is Obviously senile!!
toyachen88 3 years ago
This is McCain, a life-long Republican, trying to shed his skin just as the economic realities prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that Democrats have been right all along about regulating major corporations. This is the death knell for conservative free market types and it has come not a moment too soon.
molloyx 3 years ago
Wow, what would the people living in tent cities think about this? And then McCain tries to cover his tracks on his "fundamentals" statement.

Tent Cities in Reno Nevada. See Yahoo news. And the USA has "strong economic fundementals"?
I am so sorry for the USA.

God help us if there isn't a change in Washington, and McCain isn't change, he's the same thing in a "new" wrapper!
Watch the BBC's "Century of the Self" and learn how corporations/politicians manipulate us with words/images/gestures...
Sigmund Freud's nephew, Edward Bernays, is the father of modern public relations (AKA propaganda)
They (Rep & Dem) have their focus groups and immoral shrinks help write their speeches with trigger words, imagery, etc.
America is functionally (media) illiterate!

You liberals are full of it.
Your demorat congress has been in power for 2 yrs already and they are responsible for this economic problem.
McCain will fix this problem as soon as he drives the rat controlled congress and replaces it with Republicans.
Hussein Obama is going down.
God bless our Commander in chief George Walker Bush
God bless America
God bless the next leader McCain

kkklassic-asshole: How can anyone take somebody who has a YT profile name like yours seriously?

Don't lie!
TWarren22 3 years ago
Grew up poor?!?! What on earth are you talking about? He lived with his grandmother, who was an executive for the Bank of Hawaii.

Day 1: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are put under Federal conservatorship.
Day 8: Lehman Brothers files for bankruptcy.
Day 8: Merrill Lynch is sold at fire sale prices.
Day 8: DJIA drops more than 500 points.
Day 8: AIG is on the brink of collapse.
Day 8: McCain says, "The fundamentals of our economy are strong."
As troubling as McCain's disconnect from economic reality is, I find his increasingly feeble appearance and delivery even more troubling.

Sign that the economy is getting closer to colapse. When banks go under people lose their business and homes. Thanks for yet another failure Republicans. Hope Bush's 3 BILLION a month WAR for what was the purpose again, oh ya to rid the world of terrorists? Has it been worth it. Remember that when you vote.

the Liar Express, republicans try to confuse people by saying the exact same thing as democrates.

GAWDS03 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
LOL....And Obama is NOT a multi-millionaire? DO you know that Obama has a $2 million dollar home in Kenwood? That is an area that I am sure that you and MANY Obama's supporters could NEVER afford. Did you know that Obama's income in 2007 was $4.2 million!!!! Did YOU earn anywhere near that? Don't for a minute think Obama's really cares at all about the working person. Obama cars about Obama. He is arrogant. You may be struggling but rest assured.... Obama is NOT!!!!

It's actually nine houses now. No joke. I know, it's terrible. Go Obama!

What planet is McBush on ?
I have to laugh when he says "We will never put America in this position again?".
John - you, George, the CEO's, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and WALLSTREET could care less about the average citizen. All you want is more money so you can buy more mansions.
SunnyKid975 3 years ago
I love the way McCain is trying to back-pedal.
"The American worker and their innovation and their entrepreneurship, the small business, those are the FUNDAMENTALS of America and I think theyre strong."
Bush should use that:
"When I said Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, I actually meant they possessed strawberry ice cream."
McCain makes Forest Gump look like a Mensa.

Oh great, another Great Depression. Oh well, at least we'll be able tell great stories to our grandchildren in the future about how we had to live in a cardboard box and eat our family pets. I guess that's worth something isnt it.
