You bring up a few very good points! I've been brought up in a farming community myself and never would have looked at growing corn as an opportunity for mishaps. I agree with everything you've said. Props for thinking outside the box :)
What about jerusalem artichokes as a crop that does not appear to be a food source. Most people would take it to be a flower or a weed. They also are high producing and can be grown with limited water. Their prolific and perennials .
I myself have looked into the possibilities of farming in response to a peak oil collapse. I know just the agriculture aspect would require huge amounts of work and planning. But on top of that land prices are so outragreous i could not afford it. Especially when people are out of a job and have no resources, spending $50,000 on land just is not possible. This on top of the existing nearly insurmountable agricultural challenge would make it overwhelming, property taxes as well.
To make sure that there is enough land avialable for people for their farms and to prevent overextension of resources and environmental collapse we also need to focus on stable population levels and a zero growth society, through public education and voluntary contraception. The fact is population growth has led to scarcity and higher land prices. After north america was stolen from the natives they virtually gave away land, there was so much of it. Due to rising population, not any more.
The fact is if economy collapsed in a big way looting would become a real problem. Many here ignore some of the real problems that lead to this, blaming it on lazines. The fact is land has been made so expensive by the speculators, many people cannot afford it right now so they cannot prepare for a collapse. Personally i believe everyone should be gauranteed 20 acres of farm land if they want to farm This and people learning basic survival skills, everyone have a garden, could stop a disaster
In the final tally if the economy does take a dumb there will always be the many that are too lazy to work so they will take at gun point. All agra- societies or groups throughout the ages that have tryed to live piecefully have been wiped out by the ruthless killing humans at some point. This is too bad but all so true!

I want to see a vid on water. Unless you dig a bore you're gonna run dry and have to face long walks to a river/creek and then purify the water. Yeah people could hide in corn, but if you grow the right ones, spread them out much farther then you have, weed heavily, use squash to block most weeds, beans for next years nitrogen, its acceptable.
AMaranth is th best survival food. The seeds have lysine, they can survive drought, you could establish it NOw in weedy areas close by, its that hardy. The leaves are also edible. used like spinach. to save brocoli seed, as a outbreeder, you need many more plants then four to do it long term.

I've watched this whole series a while ago and am watching it again. It's really bothered me about the amount of work/equip involved so I've been searching for ideas to improve on it. I know you don't like basic gardening and I understand why. What 'wingz' here describes is called the 3sisters method used by native Americans. This was an idea I wanted to run past you and then this vid looked like the perfect spot to bring it up. Seems it could reduce trouble/fert/water too. I'd like your input.
@buckstarchaser The "work involved" your not going to get around easily. Not sure what you mean by the "equip" involved since I don't think we show any more equipment than maybe some rakes and shovels. You don't need a disc harrow but for larger areas it certainly is helpful for soil prep. Now is the time to TRY all these things for yourself. You want to learn and make your mistakes -aka get experience- NOW versus trying to get on the job training later when food is scarce. Good luck.
@SurvivalReport I am buying land this year. The equip I refer to is the disker. I'd like to avoid equipment cost outlay. With this 3 sisters indian thing they apparently bury an unwanted fish (I'm thinking rabbit guts) then build a small mound with a corn in the middle and ringed by beans and squash. Beans add nitrogen and climb corn, squash supresses weeds and holds moisture in the ground. But I think this makes disking pointless... but then the indians didn't do that and they invented corn.
@buckstarchaser Oh I get it :) I think anyone that had 3rd grade history remembers that story from "the first Thanksgiving." I planted inoculated soybeans in amongst corn a few times- I think their is some video of this here also- I wasn't too impressed with the results. Corn is a very heavy feeder. We did some true "organic" corn last year. A VERY SMALL patch took ALL the manure from dozen rabbits, six hens and 2 goats.
Never said you needed to have a disk harrow. Continued next post-
@SurvivalReport The disk helps with LARGER areas. For example, we garden about 3/4 of an acre total. When it's not in garden the goats are in most of these areas foraging and FERTILIZING :) The disk simply helps in soil prep and cuts down on LABOR TIME. Again I'm not talking about 3-4 cute little raised beds, I'm talking about a decent sized area that we need to grow most of our veggies for the year in. It's a labor saver more than anything. Yes we have fuel and logistics in storage :)
@SurvivalReport I get the feeling that you're going to make me test this out alone :P Hopefully I'll find the right piece of land soon so I can get started. Since my goal is to not stay another winter in this house I'm not doing anything with this places yard. I'd also like to try out stripping gardens with chicken cages being dragged day by day over them... perhaps with rabbits sharing the cages to cover more feed items. Have you tried anything like this?
@buckstarchaser NEGATIVE, DO NOT MIX CHICKENS AND RABBITS. Rabbits can get coccsidious (sp) from chickens VERY EASILY. Do not let chickens roost near where rabbits are penned, etc.
Easier thing would be to fence your garden areas and turn the chickens out into them when your harvest is over. They will scratch, eat bugs and crap everywhere. We have done that in the past but use goats currently in that role as we have had bu koo problems with stray dogs and cats and free range poultry.
@SurvivalReport Ahh, thanks. I didn't know that rabbits could get coccidiosis. The feed I gave my chickens was medicated for that but I'd like to avoid some outside inputs as well as not play room service to animal pens. I had a topless fence for my chickens and pretty much everything around came to kill them. I'm looking forward to trying chicken tractors... and possibly rabbit tractors but separated I guess.
I ordered that gardening book you recommended and others. Thanks for the advice.
@buckstarchaser, one thing to possibly consider is using a hog or two to 'plow' an area in the off season instead of requiring petrol based inputs. Joel Salatin and others cover this method but you need to watch a few of his videos and read whatever you can find published online to get a clearer picture of how it is done.
@oevzA1oL I've read the recommended book "gardening when it counts" and it changed my mind about planting in rows vs. blocks. What is it that you are recommending? I'm concerned that pigs would compress the ground a bit. Other than that I like bacon a lot.
@buckstarchaser excuse my not being clearer. My recommendation instead of considering any petrol based solution (like disk harrows) first look to a nature based solution. You stated you were attempting to avoid equipment costs and I was offering an alternative to an industrial solution. The issue is we have been trained to look at things from an industrial standpoint instead of rethinking our approach. This is where a guy like Salatin offers good input, although there are others.
@oevzA1oL I wouldn't have a disker if it was shoved up my ass.... But pigs don't exactly seem ideal. I've raised chickens, but they are selective and die before stripping the land properly. I think I will need advice or some costly trial and error before I get it right... I have a property contracted for purchase but won't likely be there until about august. By then I will have tall grass and an open playing field to start with. I'm wide open to ideas.
There will be people coming to your door saying we are hungry, they will be your neighbors. If you turn them away they will become your enemies. We as always will only survive as communities.
Yep, let's see we have some great recent examples of that- like the SUPERDOME in New Orleans. That was "community" in action right there. Yep, I want to be a part of that! Yeah right.
If concealment of carrots is a concern try having a couple of QueenAnne'sLace in there too. They look an awful lot alike. People will think they are the same.
Jesus said, love your neighbor as yourself. If I am traveling down the road, and I find out the bridge is out, and I know you are traveling on that same road, heading for the section the bridge is out, am I not going to try and warn you, so you will not be injured ? If I have learned of things, that deceitful leaders, are planning, things that put you in danger, I should tell you about it right, and if it doesn't happen, isn't it better to be ready for it, than not to be ?
Point I am making is, we know in part, that it is written in the Bible, a lot of these things we speculate will happen. We who know the truth have an obligation to try and establish the vision, or reveal, and expose what we know about the truth. Whether we are preaching the Gospel, or trying to warn people of things to that are happening within our gov,and to happen in the near future, it is only because we want to make you as prepared as possible, not to express what we believe a lone.
Parts, 6, 7, etc. discuss various things to plant based on various criteria including how they store, are they easily recognized, ease of saving seeds, etc.
Alright folks, lets keep any discussions re: politics and such clean and civil. FWIW, I've met some "hippy" survivalists (their label for themselves) who were awesome folks and will likely make it a heckuva lot longer than the average urban survivalist. And I was VERY HAPPY to find out they are AGAINST welfare, socialism, big government, etc. be it from the left or the right! These were old school back to the land type hippies, NOT new age tree hugging liberals with no sense. SR
911, was orchestrated by a group of people operating with the Government, powerful men so to speak. They did this in light of the New World Order they are planning, the mainstream News media is a devise used to decieve people, propaganda in other words.911 happened in broad day light,so I believe so will another false terrorist attack, supposedly in California, and Nuclear, and terrorfing,so if it does, know it isn' terrorist, but the Illuminati. Also it is too build a false threat to national security
Here is a strong consideration, are you willing to die for Jesus Christ,if no matter how much preparation you make, it just doen't help,or sustain you, are you going to die being afraid to testify of Jesus Christ as Lord, and the only way to Heaven ? I have observed many things concering Obama, and what will happen during his presidency, I personally have not been told anything directly from the Lord, but I would suggest that something shocking is going to occur while he is president, unfortunately
Meh, I like some of the libertarian ideas and hate the rest. The free-market they want so badly would be a disaster, and I don't like the idea of privatizing national parks and roads. It really doesn't matter though, most politicians will rob you blind, in both parties. I don't want to mess up this video with more political talk. I come here for ideas and advice for living more self-sufficiently, not politics.
It's hard to live self sufficiently when your Government decides to throw you in a concentration camp, or raid your land. If you don't have a say in politics, someone else will have your say for you. But good idea, people come here for self sufficient tips, not political babbling.
lol for a sec there i thouhgt it said survival gardening art ...i tried to imagin what art one would use in the paw post apocoliptic world humm maybe tire tower things that are kenetic sculprutes/virtical planting areas desined to act as scarcrows to keep the beast at bay!
You mention "fascism" in another comment. It's always interesting to me that liberals don't seem to get it that hitler was a SOCIALIST. The very thing your promoting is the thing you hate! How many HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS have been killed under communism/socialism in the 20th century? EGG ZACH LEE.
EXACTLY These libtard obamatrons just don't understand anything about economics, liberty, human nature, corruption; NOTHING!
They watch a 30 second commercial on TV about change and then they think they are political experts. These are the kind of people that will roll out the red carpet for fascism in America. I like what you do, keep up the good work.
Yes, and conservatives have been doing such a swell job. It may suprise you that there are liberal survivalists. I find it hilarious that you say liberals don't know anything about economics, liberty, human nature, and corruption. lol. You think that everyone that voted for Obama agrees with everything that he stands for, this is false. Fascism and an AWB won't happen as long as there are people on both sides that fight it. Oh, and excellent video SR.
Exactly. There are plenty of liberal survivalist. Wanting to have food, shelter, ammunition, and supplies in case of an emergency or world disaster isn't solely linked to being on the right. And your right, as far as making sure we continue to fight for liberty. We shouldn't let labels like Democrat/Republican, etc...block our perception of the loss of our freedom. It doesn't matter which side it comes from, it still is a strike against our basic humanity, and must be thwarted.
YOU may be a "fascist" but I AM NOT a "fascist". Partner, if the early church couldn't make socialism/communism work, no one is going to. Read the book of Acts. Things got so bad with people laying around on there butts and getting handouts that the apostle Paul would later right "If any man not work, the same shouldn't eat." There will always be people like that and like Ananias and Sapphira. And where is communism "Thriving" today ON IT'S OWN?
History proves that communism never works long term.
People need to group together, YES no doubts there, but they need to do it ahead of time with like minded folks, not after the fact and not where EVERYTHING is "communal." Human nature makes that unfeasible long term. You definitely are going to need an organized group to make it long term. I just do NOT believe in socialism of any form.
A tip on getting better quality: If you're not already, get Sony Vegas, import your video off your camera and RENDER it as WMV default profile. It's a very fast render and WMV seems to be the best format for Youtube. Great videos.
Thanks for posting the great videos. You're giving excellent information that's going to help a lot of people. I agree that its a good idea to share some of your harvest with your immediate neighbors. We've done that for years and I find that it helps to cut down on the looting. There's always someone watchng your crop. I think that it's especially important to have support from your neighbors when you live in an urban area were people can see portions of your yard from the street.
No one said you should let your neighbors starve, but there is a fine line between helping yourself, and being expected to feed a "community" as the earlier poster mentioned. In his view, it was "my" responsibility to feed some mythical "transition town" that I'm not even a part of! My preparedness is based on 1 Timothy 5:8 and goes out from there. Good Scripture EVERYONE should know and live. If you cannot provide first for "your own" you cannot help ANYONE else. SR
You know what this all breaks down to: PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. Most people cannot even define those words now a days. Can't help but think "transition town" or conjunction junction-whatever you want to call it- sounds a little bit like SOCIALISM. Socialism and communism goes hand in hand and was responsible for the death of hundreds of millions of people in the 20th century. I want no part of that!!!
Part of personal responsibility is taking care of your community.Thats not communism, thats smart. No one lives in a bubble away from the world. Communism is when that "taking care of you" role is taken by the government. I think our ability to survive this economic collapse is going to depend on how we learn to form communities of support with heaping spoonfuls of personal responsibility, and without a government role. Great vids, btw.
I agree to a point, if you mean "communities" as in your local CITY then no. If you mean a "community" as in a group of dedicated survivors you put together ahead of time, then YES. Being amongst a group of SERIOUS survivors is going to be crucial for long term survival. Even then, you must be careful with the amount of "shared" property/supplies. The best "community" is where everyone is INDEPENDENT yet also INTERDEPENDENT amongst the group. They have to be FIRST somewhat independent though. SR
continued- Also, is it MY JOB to feed my "community?" Negative. My job is to provide for my family, that's every man's job. The problem is some DON'T and look to the gubmint for handouts. Do you really think "transition town" is going to work? Human nature is going to be the worse enemy of this. There will always be Ants and there will always be Grasshoppers. Just like in the kids story, the grasshoppers will starve (or be killed by the ants while trying to loot). After that we can rebuild.
Look at the elderly in your community who need assistance and can give back important knowledge and values. Freeloaders are a perennial human problem, but I think the bigger problem will be that people don't know how to be self sufficient even if they are not lazy. Which is why adding to the survival information available is so important and is, in fact, you giving taking care of thecommunity!
Thanks for realizing what we are doing :) While we are providing helpful info, I care not if people are using it individually or communally. Most "communal" style living arrangements FAIL, history has proven this. There WILL be people you can and I feel "should" help, but the majority of them will simply be types that want something for nothing. THESE people will be your biggest problem. No matter if acting as a community or individually, THESE folks are the ones you'll have to defend against.
Accidentally removed a comment here, sorry. The comment said "plant food trees man." I guess he hadn't looked at my other videos (series of 6 regarding Fruit trees). Walnuts don't grow in the south but we've shown Pecan trees. As to the "save your community" comments... Where do I start? Do you HONESTLY think all or even 30% of people in a normal "community" really understand the problems we are facing? Negative. Less than 3-5% do. And a MUCH SMALLER portion of those will ACT on that fact.Cont-
You could also title this video "guerilla gardening" with your sprinkle the carrots in with the weeds strategy. Root crops will rule post TEOTWAWKI. Let the tops die & you have food all winter long that you can harvest when you need it - just need to find crops that can handle freezes.
Yeah my potatoes from last year did come up this year - combination of global warming? :-) and the straw I put over them, but I've had them turn to mush in the past. Just watched some of your other videos - fantastic information - I noticed you used the term "guerilla gardening" in them. I love the concept.
That usually happens with potatoes when it's too wet, they just turn to crap in the soil. Sometimes you can leave a few still in the soil and they will re-seed next year. Realize that isn't in the gardening books but it does work and the potatoes are edible.
First of all I want to salute you on how well you do at making videos - not all the stuttering that I would be doing. Corn is also bad because in many areas (here) the racoons would clean you out right at harvest. Plus hail & high winds can damage it, etc.
In actuality, it's probably slowing hitting the fan right now. It's not all going to culminate in one big "day" where we look back and go "on XX date TSHTF", at least that's my opinion.
Precious metals are for people that ALREADY have there food storage squared away- that means a year at a MINIMUM, weapons and basic gear, medical supplies, BOL, comms, etc. There is no "magic bullet" that's gonna get us through TSHTF- including silver or gold. Can't eat them, can't shoot them, no practical use.
Have you considered getting any other survivalists together to start a survivalist community - where each person agrees to do their part or they get banished from the group? I'm very interested in getting a group together, because it will be a hell of a lot easier with people working together, bringing skills together and watching out for one another. Imagine if the shit hits the fan, there will be groups (or gangs) of people trying to take your stuff by any violent means.
It's important for people to band together with other like minded folks. I've wrote numerous articles on the text blog- survivalreportDOTnet regarding how to go about this, potential pitfalls, etc. It's going to be very tough for the individual family unit to make it on there own. Plan AHEAD of time for this, putting a group together "after" the fact is NOT the way to do it. You need to do it now. As to me specifically, no I don't have a community.
you're joking right? I've been researching heavily into Peak Oil, and I see oil hitting 175 by the end of the year. We have at least another 2 years before the shit starts to hit harder.
If the videos were loaded in high definition, many viewers with slow connections would have trouble watching them. I used to when I had a slow connection. We had similar problems on our affiliate channel also with high definition videos. An hour or so to do the video, half hour to edit, another half hour to upload. When was the last time you worked for FREE for a few hours to give people free information? OPSEC is a factor also on the "definition" issue.
You bring up a few very good points! I've been brought up in a farming community myself and never would have looked at growing corn as an opportunity for mishaps. I agree with everything you've said. Props for thinking outside the box :)

Thanks for the advice.
buckstarchaser 1 year ago
@buckstarchaser, one thing to possibly consider is using a hog or two to 'plow' an area in the off season instead of requiring petrol based inputs. Joel Salatin and others cover this method but you need to watch a few of his videos and read whatever you can find published online to get a clearer picture of how it is done.
oevzA1oL 1 year ago
@oevzA1oL I've read the recommended book "gardening when it counts" and it changed my mind about planting in rows vs. blocks. What is it that you are recommending? I'm concerned that pigs would compress the ground a bit. Other than that I like bacon a lot.
buckstarchaser 1 year ago
@buckstarchaser excuse my not being clearer. My recommendation instead of considering any petrol based solution (like disk harrows) first look to a nature based solution. You stated you were attempting to avoid equipment costs and I was offering an alternative to an industrial solution. The issue is we have been trained to look at things from an industrial standpoint instead of rethinking our approach. This is where a guy like Salatin offers good input, although there are others.
oevzA1oL 1 year ago
@oevzA1oL I wouldn't have a disker if it was shoved up my ass.... But pigs don't exactly seem ideal. I've raised chickens, but they are selective and die before stripping the land properly. I think I will need advice or some costly trial and error before I get it right... I have a property contracted for purchase but won't likely be there until about august. By then I will have tall grass and an open playing field to start with. I'm wide open to ideas.

There will be people coming to your door saying we are hungry, they will be your neighbors. If you turn them away they will become your enemies. We as always will only survive as communities.
ehswan 2 years ago
Yep, let's see we have some great recent examples of that- like the SUPERDOME in New Orleans. That was "community" in action right there. Yep, I want to be a part of that! Yeah right.

Yes! Most people like to ignore that fact.

I'm not christian, but I sure as heck plan on helping my neighbours - as long as they give me land to plant on and help with looking after plants.

SR

ShannCole888 3 years ago
Meh, I like some of the libertarian ideas and hate the rest. The free-market they want so badly would be a disaster, and I don't like the idea of privatizing national parks and roads. It really doesn't matter though, most politicians will rob you blind, in both parties. I don't want to mess up this video with more political talk. I come here for ideas and advice for living more self-sufficiently, not politics.
brokenskyy 3 years ago
It's hard to live self sufficiently when your Government decides to throw you in a concentration camp, or raid your land. If you don't have a say in politics, someone else will have your say for you. But good idea, people come here for self sufficient tips, not political babbling.

I like what you do, keep up the good work.
rockhardxrocker 3 years ago
Yes, and conservatives have been doing such a swell job. It may suprise you that there are liberal survivalists. I find it hilarious that you say liberals don't know anything about economics, liberty, human nature, and corruption. lol. You think that everyone that voted for Obama agrees with everything that he stands for, this is false. Fascism and an AWB won't happen as long as there are people on both sides that fight it. Oh, and excellent video SR.
brokenskyy 3 years ago
It doesn't matter which side it comes from, it still is a strike against our basic humanity, and must be thwarted.
frozenunderwater 3 years ago 2
YOU may be a "fascist" but I AM NOT a "fascist". Partner, if the early church couldn't make socialism/communism work, no one is going to. Read the book of Acts. Things got so bad with people laying around on there butts and getting handouts that the apostle Paul would later right "If any man not work, the same shouldn't eat." There will always be people like that and like Ananias and Sapphira. And where is communism "Thriving" today ON IT'S OWN?
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
History proves that communism never works long term.
People need to group together, YES no doubts there, but they need to do it ahead of time with like minded folks, not after the fact and not where EVERYTHING is "communal." Human nature makes that unfeasible long term. You definitely are going to need an organized group to make it long term. I just do NOT believe in socialism of any form.

Thanks for posting the great videos. You're giving excellent information that's going to help a lot of people. I agree that its a good idea to share some of your harvest with your immediate neighbors. We've done that for years and I find that it helps to cut down on the looting. There's always someone watchng your crop. I think that it's especially important to have support from your neighbors when you live in an urban area were people can see portions of your yard from the street.
alleycatd 3 years ago
No one said you should let your neighbors starve, but there is a fine line between helping yourself, and being expected to feed a "community" as the earlier poster mentioned. In his view, it was "my" responsibility to feed some mythical "transition town" that I'm not even a part of! My preparedness is based on 1 Timothy 5:8 and goes out from there. Good Scripture EVERYONE should know and live. If you cannot provide first for "your own" you cannot help ANYONE else. SR
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
You know what this all breaks down to: PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. Most people cannot even define those words now a days. Can't help but think "transition town" or conjunction junction-whatever you want to call it- sounds a little bit like SOCIALISM. Socialism and communism goes hand in hand and was responsible for the death of hundreds of millions of people in the 20th century. I want no part of that!!!
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
Part of personal responsibility is taking care of your community.Thats not communism, thats smart. No one lives in a bubble away from the world. Communism is when that "taking care of you" role is taken by the government. I think our ability to survive this economic collapse is going to depend on how we learn to form communities of support with heaping spoonfuls of personal responsibility, and without a government role. Great vids, btw.
keltoi2000 3 years ago
I agree to a point, if you mean "communities" as in your local CITY then no. If you mean a "community" as in a group of dedicated survivors you put together ahead of time, then YES. Being amongst a group of SERIOUS survivors is going to be crucial for long term survival. Even then, you must be careful with the amount of "shared" property/supplies. The best "community" is where everyone is INDEPENDENT yet also INTERDEPENDENT amongst the group. They have to be FIRST somewhat independent though. SR
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
continued- Also, is it MY JOB to feed my "community?" Negative.
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
Look at the elderly in your community who need assistance and can give back important knowledge and values. Freeloaders are a perennial human problem, but I think the bigger problem will be that people don't know how to be self sufficient even if they are not lazy. Which is why adding to the survival information available is so important and is, in fact, you giving taking care of thecommunity!
keltoi2000 3 years ago

Let the tops die & you have food all winter long that you can harvest when you need it - just need to find crops that can handle freezes.
yec1JF 3 years ago
Thanks for the nice comments. Agree on the root crops, we have had some potatoes re-seed themselves two years in a row.
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
Yeah my potatoes from last year did come up this year - combination of global warming? :-) and the straw I put over them, but I've had them turn to mush in the past. Just watched some of your other videos - fantastic information - I noticed you used the term "guerilla gardening" in them. I love the concept.
yec1JF 3 years ago
That usually happens with potatoes when it's too wet, they just turn to crap in the soil. Sometimes you can leave a few still in the soil and they will re-seed next year. Realize that isn't in the gardening books but it does work and the potatoes are edible.
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
First of all I want to salute you on how well you do at making videos - not all the stuttering that I would be doing. Corn is also bad because in many areas (here) the racoons would clean you out right at harvest. Plus hail & high winds can damage it, etc.

Mark my words....Shit's gonna hit the fan by late September 08. You might want to start buying silver while you still can too.
Mojopokey 3 years ago
In actuality, it's probably slowing hitting the fan right now. It's not all going to culminate in one big "day" where we look back and go "on XX date TSHTF", at least that's my opinion.
Precious metals are for people that ALREADY have there food storage squared away- that means a year at a MINIMUM, weapons and basic gear, medical supplies, BOL, comms, etc. There is no "magic bullet" that's gonna get us through TSHTF- including silver or gold. Can't eat them, can't shoot them, no practical use.
SurvivalReport 3 years ago
Have you considered getting any other survivalists together to start a survivalist community - where each person agrees to do their part or they get banished from the group? I'm very interested in getting a group together, because it will be a hell of a lot easier with people working together, bringing skills together and watching out for one another. Imagine if the shit hits the fan, there will be groups (or gangs) of people trying to take your stuff by any violent means.
mycatisromeo 3 years ago
It's important for people to band together with other like minded folks. I've wrote numerous articles on the text blog- survivalreportDOTnet regarding how to go about this, potential pitfalls, etc. It's going to be very tough for the individual family unit to make it on there own. Plan AHEAD of time for this, putting a group together "after" the fact is NOT the way to do it. You need to do it now. As to me specifically, no I don't have a community.
