  • its a Axolotl

  • No they were actually tiger salamander larvae. They matured lost their gills and morphed into tiger salamanders. It took about six weeks. Axolotl's never or at least rarely morph.

  • I saw them at the pet shop today, they wanted $20 each.

  • @heresteven Wow that sucks! I got mine from a bait shop for under $3.00 each. If you want one you should check in some of them.

  • need to clean the walls cool salamanders thow

  • @SkOpEd13 thanks, that was bubbles from the filter on the walls of the tank. I had just set the tank up that day

  • @contentunderpresure O well I guess you didnt need to clean it then

  • need to clean the walls

  • I'm having a hard time raising my 3 tigers. They looked like they were yawning/choking when I put new things in their 10 gallon tank, after cleaning it. I put a lot of dechlorinator and a filter, in there but I'm not sure what's going to happen now, after taking the new stuff out. ( fake seaweed, a cave, and a bubbling T-rex). Can you help?

  • @M79Grenadier666 Sorry I didnt see this until just now. I hope that by now yours have morphed. If not then it really doesnt matter to much what is in the tank so much as what you feed them. I found feeding them really well on crickets and reptomin made them morph very quickly. Bite size though, the yawning may be choking, they are still lil ones at that stage.

  • @contentunderpresure It turned out that they were choking, and 1 died(originally had 2) and so I realized tap water was no good. :( I got 2 more tigers so I had 3, and bought a 45 gallon tank, and a buncha stuff, including lots of distilled water, and raised them so they've almost morphed completely into adults. Then I upsized to a 55 gallon, and spoiled em some more. They're being fed large crickets, and their terrarium is 1/2 land 1/2 water. I might put up a vid cuz it's AWESOME.

  • did you know that tiger salamanders can regrow there limbs:)

  • very nice i have rasied tiger salamanders myself if u want them to get out of larva state u can have the water level lower and get sum form of land i cant wait to see them in a full salamander state ! setup is fine ;]

  • wow those are really neat!! Are they hard to keep? I think they are pretty cool.

  • Nah not hard to keep so far. I've only had them for a week and a half though. :)
