More of a dance instead of a 'lets see how many different ways we can move across the stage' As seniors I expected better. The dance seniors piece was better than this in its worst performance.

Strange didn't get a job at Westlake right after graduating college, despite not having any qualifications? (he did). Poole does what he thinks is best for his paycheck. He doesn't teach students. He doesn't care about students. He cares about his six-figure salary.

This a well choreographed and thought out performance for its place in a high school exhibition, but what I was lacking was feeling. I got none from the dancers at all. There wasn't boredom , there wasn't dislike, there was just nothing at all. It may come across as a lack of energy because other than the movement there isn't anything to channel energy into so that the audience and see AND feel the performance. I looked great it just didn't feel like anything for me.
if its not a competition this school is rich as heck! they could no rather should put that money into the childrens education over their theatre or allow other less privledged schools to take the money they obviously dont need

They have no emotion in this dance; looks as if they're just going through the motions. Like they want to get it over with. The song is updeat and pumping and energetic and I would have wanted more poppy movements with some slow moments, not for the whole performance to look like a ballet turned into death. I don't want to be so harsh because, like them, I'm in high school, but there just wasnt nearly enough for me to get excited about with this mess.
Whomever shot this video could've had more close ups on what the dancers were doing! W/ it zoomed out so much it was kinda hard to see what movements they were doing. They only did a close up on one girl-upper bod shot and med shot which was good.. it should've stayed that way!

@rippinit155 I agree... What you're seeing is terrible choreography. To see some amazing choreography for the same song, search "Ramalama Group Performance (HD)". It's from the TV show So You Think You Can Dance which would understandably have higher standards... but still...........

The lighting in this video was fantastic and considering this is a college Im shocked normally you have a couple of dusty old analog lights with electrics from the 60s in colleges but this is far from that. the dancing i have to say is a different matter however, I think these girls have potential but they need to get more active, rigid and have much better coriography (apologies for spelling of coriography).
i think for a dance to this song, it could either be a really advanced dance done by professionals, or a basic dance done by people who are new to dancing. i dont think it fits they style of dance they were doing either. with such strong percussion, the moves should've been more solid and rigid. but hey, you guys have alot of talent :)
Our dance team (the same one featured in this video) is actually very very good, but it was not particularly shown in this video. And Zenith has become a light show with dance rather than a dance performance with good lights.

I can only imagine that their techies are essentially getting pro experience and have someone there that is more than competent teaching them how to use the equipment. If I remember right they were using a Whole Hog III (saw it in another vid). it is pretty easy to get lost in the extra features.
This video is not AWESOME! There is no facial expression from any of the girls! This is not a good routine at all! I'm a judge for a national dance competition. The girls are good, the choreo sucks!

this is such an upbeat song, i think they could hae done more technique and more complex movements. and if they are SO amazing, they could do waay cooler things..

@rippinit155 I agree... What you're seeing is terrible choreography. To see some amazing choreography for the same song, search "Ramalama Group Performance (HD)". It's from the TV show So You Think You Can Dance which would understandably have higher standards... but still...........

what kind of high schooll os this? ...a dance school?
the choreography is pretty boring and you can tell the girls aren't professionally trained. but the concept is cool though and they are pretty together.

i agree witch wackyjackie! you guys could've done something better with such strong song!, this looks like begginers stuff and i can see you have potencial for much more! plus i could notice someone off the time, the lights are the one shinning instead of the dancers, keep it going i know you can handle something harder keep trying and it'll be extraordinary!!! congratulations anyway!

The lighting in this video was fantastic and considering this is a college Im shocked normally you have a couple of dusty old analog lights with electrics from the 60s in colleges but this is far from that. the dancing i have to say is a different matter however, I think these girls have potential but they need to get more active, rigid and have much better coriography (apologies for spelling of coriography).

i think for a dance to this song, it could either be a really advanced dance done by professionals, or a basic dance done by people who are new to dancing. i dont think it fits they style of dance they were doing either. with such strong percussion, the moves should've been more solid and rigid. but hey, you guys have alot of talent :)

Our dance team (the same one featured in this video) is actually very very good, but it was not particularly shown in this video. And Zenith has become a light show with dance rather than a dance performance with good lights.

the lighting is kind of amazing for something for high school. but the dance itself was not choreographed in a particularly interesting way and the girls have technique, but lack energy.

good technique, not much variation though... didnt have much emotion, but waas good... looked like u were just counting the minutes till u could get off stage, didnt look like u were into it at all...

I can only imagine that their techies are essentially getting pro experience and have someone there that is more than competent teaching them how to use the equipment. If I remember right they were using a Whole Hog III (saw it in another vid). it is pretty easy to get lost in the extra features.

This video is not AWESOME! There is no facial expression from any of the girls! This is not a good routine at all! I'm a judge for a national dance competition. The girls are good, the choreo sucks!

The dancing itself was good, everyone was on time, but that's for jazz routines. If you're going to do this type of dance, you can't be afraid to be weird!!!

Ugh. Even if I had not seen Wade's version, I would have voted this poorly on the dance. Now, the light show...that was cool, but the dancing did NOT match the music..period. Needed more Twyla if they were going to do a group dance.

It wasn't good. they looked bored not dead. the routine did not go with the music at all. it should have been more popping and isolations than ballet.

...you could at least have some type of facials...performance quality sucked! im sorry, there is looking dead and there is looking bored, and everyone looks so bored! Have intensity in your eyes and movements...it looks lazy and not very well performed...so you think you can dances version is soo much better.
