To everyone who's saying that people with peanut allergies should stay home, or it's all in their head, please stop. It's not.

I go to a school where nuts aren't aloud, but people bring them on purpose often. The most recent was this Monday and Tuesday, where I was told that they didn't care if I stopped breathing and died because they like nuts. You have no idea how scary it is to know that because one selfish person couldn't live with out nuts you might stop breathing and die at any moment.

I'm 19 and I have not been rid of this stupid allergy since I was born! I constantly read labels on packages I'm unfamiliar with and I have to always ask about peanut oil whenever I go to a new restaurant. Even ice cream is a risk since these people use the same scoops for everything. I never asked to have to live a life wondering if I'll die today from some careless food preparation. I've lived through enough incidents to know I hate the taste of peanuts though! All critics shut the fuck up.

yes they do exist randir14 how do you know if it dosent i have peanut allergies and let me tell you guys a story just for a minet when my mom gave me a peanut butter sandwich i started iching and the bumps on my body we swlelling up and then they took me to the doctors and inject me with an epiepen and then i was normal the bumps were gone and the doctor said it is peanut allergies and im 13 now and im not sure if i still have it or not and im not a fan of peanuts i hate the taste of peanuts.

I cured myself of my peanut allergy this way a few years ago, just common sense. People have made them selves immune to things this way for thousands of years.I also used to be really allergic to things like hay and rag weed, and used to take antihistamines for years, finally just decided to quit taking them, had really bad symptoms for a few years,but it slowly dwindled and I don't have seasonal allergies anymore. also realized that milk products gave me a rash and made allergy symptoms worse

unfortunately I think there are people who are so allergic to peanuts that even 1/1000th of a peanut will give them life threatening symptoms. Maybe even a smaller dose to start would work. Even though I cured myself this way, I still don't eat peanut products just because it's probably not good for my body, there was a reason that I was allergic I think, but at least I know I'm not in danger of suffocating to death if I accidentally eat something with peanuts in it.

The only thing I'm allergic to is mold. You know how carpets, over the time, start to build up mold and make people like me sick? That's why my house has only hardwood and tile flooring. Also windows build up mold too. So that's why my dad sprays the windows in the kitchen every once and a while. I am surprisingly not allergic to anything else.

I think it's absolutley rediculous that they ban peanuts from Public schools. People (like myself) like peanuts and peanut butter. Why should we cater to a small fraction of the population?? We shouldn't. If it's not safe to be around peanuts, they should go to a separate school, or homeschooling. This is a "free country" we should be able to eat what we want, wherever we want. This is great news! I have had a peanut allergy since i was born and i hate some stupid commenters on this video. They think we want to be cured of this allergy to eat peanuts. It is biological. They are just increasing their tolerance to the food. The new treatment uses doses of peanuts that start as small as one-thousandth of a peanut and eventually increase to about 15 peanuts a day. You have to do it every day and it takes about a year or longer. An allergy to anything is biological. It just means your body has a vary low tolerance to whatever the allergy is.

What I find odd though is that my son has eaten peanuts off and on throughout his life but, when I took him to an allergist recently (for asthma) she said he tested positive for peanut allergies and says I shouldnt let him have any. He has never had a reaction to them. Seems like the medical world often contradicts itself lately.
