I had a mate once who worked on a pig farm as part of his veterinary studies, and he told me that the farmer he was assigned to had lost all of the fingers on his right hand. What had happened was that the farmer had slipped, been knocked out for five or ten minutes, and when he came to, the pigs had chewed off his fingers.
