Originally i was lookin for billy joe shaver, but your version is very good. If you ever make your way to kansas city, there is a little bbq/blues joint you might get a gig at. Its called BB's lawnside bbq. It is a lot of fun. I'd deffinately love to check you all out there.

Sweet Melissa, I love your cover of this Billy Joe Shaver song. I am very picky about covers of BJS songs, too. Real good job!!! But please correct the title to read "A cover of the BILLY JOE SHAVER song." The Allmans didn't write it, they just did it 'cause it's a great song. I prefer your version to theirs! No offense meant, just want credit given where it's due. Thanks!

I did credit Billy Joe Shaver in the original description but have now changed it so the title includes Billy Joe Shavers name too. It's all very increasing the size of the band and obtaining a fuller sound, but you'll be also having to split the money more ways! and don't be surprised if the new band members demand Musicians Union/Equity rates! lol

The music was great. I love the slide and well everything else too. The video was too small for the player tho, and I'd like to have seen the slide guitar frame zoomed during the solo. But overall it was terrific!
