Reg Watson remade this soap for a German television station, he called it Verbotiene Liede (forbidden love) and lo and behold they're still making episodes to this day.

Same in Bulgaria, Croatia, etc, where popular local versions of Sons and Daughters were also created. Its quite strange to go to Europe and all you see is different versions of Sons and bloody Daughters. When I was a kid this theme music was the single most depressing thing in the world.

I loved the show watched it for years but can't remember how it ended. I wasn't born when it started thou. Me and mum watched it and I got lots of teasing in school for watching it was uncool to watch it as seen as a middle aged persons show

Me and my mum watched this for years. A good program at first but sadly it went daft. My mum stopped watching it because everyone who got pregnant in the show lost their baby, or the kid was killed off before it got to 18months old. Best cliffhangers tho for any program ever made!
