@PhreakPhantom Maher is playing the role of instigator, someone has to or there's no one to drive the context and dialogue. And while I don't necessarily agree with everything he says, I do believe Maher is a very insightful media personality.

To that point, Maher is at the end of the day, despite his role as political talk show provocateur, a comedian first. Unsurprising he'd put forth seemingly facetious, sarcastic remarks aimed at getting a laugh. So it goes..
