Thanks for asking. 2 ways to make it (NetTalk DUO-NTD or MagicJack Plus-MJP) work:
1.- Have either device forward calls to your (wireless) cell phone, or
2.- Download NTD or MJP app to SmartPhone, use 3-4G network to make free calls. If you are referring to wireless modem/router, I tested NTD on one, to no avail. High Speed Internet or DSL is required.
My internet service is 20mbs download and 5 upload so F**k off I have done more work with computers, networking, and servers than most people will there whole lives I started in computers with the timex sinclar and was writing code before Dos was a standard operating system. I was just stating the fact that my magic jack never worked rite and I got No customer service.
I had a similar problem with NetTALK DUO. NTD was not to blame, my computer was. Use a computer with a faster processor and more generous RAMs. If the issue is not resolved at this point, MagicJack could be the culprit. Do not jump to hasty conclusions!
Thank you for your comment. MagicJack has its share of fans and detractors. Obviously, the outcome of your MagicJack experiment is a positive one. You are a happy camper. Rightfully so. But most MJ customers are not as fortunate as you are. They express their displeasure with MagicJack's shortcomings and are, hence, labeled "detractors". To the extent that their accounts are truthful, I would not characterize them as such (detractors), but rather as "dissatisfied customers."
@jason3197 Thanks for your comment. Any MagicJack's customer who got less than s/he bargained for would wholeheartedly concur. I am not done yet with MJ, and will be experimenting with and reporting soon on the new MagicJack Plus. Stay tuned for the upcoming report.
