  • @wheatpuff -was this truly Cali? Or are you guessing? I know a lot of the movie was shot in Texas. And these scenes are reminiscent of my travels thru West Texas, the Davis Mountains, and etc. That is why this song is so beautiful to me, I discovered it thru the movie and , of course, being from Texas...

  • @metalliogie lake hughes road is the consensus we made a while ago, but it doesn't matter. beautiful as this is, I want to say that it is probably not the same in real life. Quiet and peaceful. So if it's not in texas it may as well be because places like this are where you find them.

  • @metalliogie @wheatpuff the whole movie was shot in California...lol. But as stated, its beautiful regardless of where it is. :)

  • I always interpret the credits as The Firefly's afterlife.

  • I am moved everytime I listen to this. Terry Reid had something special the world will never see again and never fully appreciated.

  • @wheatpuff My parents took me everywhere when I was young... out west a lot. We were around that area, but sadly, I can't remember any of it! Hopefully will get out there again someday.

  • i love the music and lyrics ^^

  • SOMEBODY PAYS A LOOK AT LOOK AT

  • this song makes me want to light a blunt, drive on this road and let my mind wonder

  • Probably one of the best closing credits ever. A balm for the soul after the movie's earthquake of an experience. The pace of the scenes match the beautiful song perfectly. That's the way to get an audience to stay for the credits. Have Terry sing.

  • @wheatpuff thanks you so much. It's one of my dreams

  • @jstrongman98 Sure, put a friggin 'reggaeton' freak to listen to this...

This is when sound becomes art.

  • He held that note for a good nine seconds I know singers that couldnt do that... stellar song all in all

  • The ultimate ending to the ultimate road movie.

  • No one ever said Rob Zombie didn't have good taste in music.

  • 7 people are lame. Get over it. I'm sure you have some lame personal reasons that this song is better than you.

oh it is abbreveted? My spelling sucks? Get over it. Let the song stand on its own.

    Personal attack go!

"You are a faggot with bad spelling. I suck! You are better than me!"

"blah blah blah. Someone on Youtube should think I'm better than you!!!"

This song is better than you. Fag.

Oh he called me a fag...I'm really emotional!

The song is still better than you.

  • @pousercore LOL!!

  • brilliant song!!

  • BOY THE VIEWS KILL THESE ONE 2, GOOD

  • fuck you man, huh?

  • i remember renting devil's rejects & becoming completely obsessed with this song, often rewinding the closing credits just to listen to this song repeatedly, then came the hunt of tracking down both the soundtrack & Terry's "Seed of Memory" album, wow... an effort well worth my time.

  • I did the same thing lol.

  • me too, I wanna thank Rob Zombie for introducing me to Terry Reid's music. Dunno how I missed out on this musician my whole life...

  • SAAAAAAAAAME HEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE. Years later & this song still hits me & each person whom I introduce this song too is also floored. Thanks Rob!!!

  • @huezo92703 Man, exactly the same thing here. I've been totally hypnotized by this amazing song!! If you are so in 'connection' with this song, maybe you could recomend a song of the same caliber. Do you know any song similar to this one?!

    Best,

    Max

    Chile.

  • @TDAmeritrader Hey Max, you've got great taste in music. Well, another song i remember becoming obsessed with was Godspeed You Black Emperor's "East Hastings" off their album, f#a# (infinity symbol). I saw it in 28 Days Later. Check it out somewhere on here. Hope you enjoy.

  • @huezo92703 Damn you know about music!!!! Well, the music you recommended me reminds me Portishead/Massive Attack I don't know, but was really unique...

My recomendation is to try "From the beginning" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

"War of the Gods" by Billy Paul and "No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin.

    Hope you enjoy them!

  • @huezo92703 That´s crazy because it´s 100% exactly the same with me. I am still coming back to those end credits from time to time because there´s something mesmerizing about the combination of this song and the scene of flying over this desert road...

  • @huezo92703 same here!

  • Respond to this video... is video sped up? I remember it being like 1/2 this speed in the actual movie

  • @huezo92703 Literally verbatum of how I felt about the song.

  • This is just...simply amazing

  • i would love to drive here just playin this awsome good usa stuff man

  • this is Lake Hughes Road in the Santa Clarita Valley which is part of Los Angeles County, California. mystery solved

  • This foootage along with this incredible song totally changed my opinion of Rob Zombie. I respect him greatly as a musician, writer, and filmmaker.

  • Epic!

  • anyone know where they shot this part at. it looks like an amazing place to take a harley for a cruize

  • the commentary said the whole movie was shot in california. Lancaster mainly.

  • if i never saw this movie..closed my eyes..and listened to this song...i swear, these credits would be what i see....minus the words of course

  • this is a good sad song. in a uplifting way

  • Best ending credits to any movie ever. The song plus the aerial helicopter shots over that road and hills gives me chills. I only wish I could see it without the credits. Awesome.

  • i love you for putting this up i just watched this movie for the hundreth time but this is the first time i listened to this song

  • this movie was the shiii-at. good music too

  • Its a shame most of us (including me and lots of my friends) notice terry reid of the ending credits in the devils rejects.... hes awesome. whereas, zombie is an awesome director. he should totally go mainstream.

  • this song reminds me i won't live forever. Sad in a beautiful way

  • great song. Terry Reid is the man.

  • mmhmm.

this is one of my favorite songs ever..

  • i would kill to drive down that

  • Great soundtrack. Shame about the film. There's something very bad taste about glamourising psychopaths, great music or no.

  • @dharmashooter the majority of people around you are psychopaths

  • I don't think the majority of people around me are psychopaths. They're just mind controlled slaves who attempt to emulate what they're told is cool by paid media hacks like the maker of this film who're also told what to do by their money masters. Serfs, one and all.

  • i love open road highways!

  • Very, very cool.

  • when these credits came on, i was transfixed. i couldn't turn the movie off until they finished.

  • best ending credits ever, i was considering watching them twice when i watched the movie last night for the second time.

  • great track and great flick

  • I loved this movie...I thought it was the shit! but then again im a huge fan of Horror flicks.. that and Rob Zombie had epic taste in picking the sound track for this movie

  • The movie takes place in Texas, note the license plate of the lady killed in the beginning, BUT! It was SHOT ALL IN CALIFORNIA. Texas does not look like that at all.

  • Who cares... sincerely.. who cares..

  • Comment removed

  • Not Texas at all! San Bernandino mountain range, off the 210. In response to the credits being shot in Texas. I've lived in both Texas and So Cal and the Lone Star state does not look like that.

  • i think your wrong man, i think these are the mountain pass in ventura california, along the south mountain, between moorpark and santa paula, but you could be right, the ones in berdugo look simular

  • Where were the credits shot?

  • It's called 'Seed of Memory' by Terry Reid. Look him upon Youtube, he's amazing.

  • Please uploader, let me embe this video.

  • sorry man, something about a content claim - it won't let me enable embeding.

  • I never heard this song before I saw this dissapointing movie but I love this song and the camerawork as we fly like an eagle over the California landscape. At least I think it's CA. Does anyone know for sure where this credits sequence was shot? Amazing lyrics here also.

  • It's all in Texas

  • dont the story happen in texas? thats badass if it does

  • House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects are two of the best movies! The Devils Rejects is probabaly one of the best movie soundtracks ever. Some of the best classics are on it!

  • Poetry in Motion...all I can say is that this song.....Made my life

  • The only part of that crappy movie that I really enjoyed. Great cinematography here. Awesome song.

  • your a credits kinda guy. thats cool.

i like credits, but don't love them like you do.

  • That kinda looks like the grapevine leaving L.A. on the way North to San Fran

  • it's in southern california, near a lake. the exact name is buried in the comments here somewhere.

  • Thanks, It def looked like SoCal....I'll look for it.

  • ~This Movie Was An Instant Classic, And I Loved House Of 1000 Corpes As Well, But Devil Rejects Was The Shit & Forever Will Be, They Even Ended The Movie With A Smash Ass Song, One Of The Greatest All Time, Yessssssssssss...~

  • whats the song called

  • Terry Reid: Seed of Memory

  • I love this movie! Like, no lie. But it pisses me off when they die! they werent supossed to die! Lol. But yes, Rob is a great artist. and this movie is like, a masterpiece.

  • RIP Matthew McGrory.

You were in one hell of a movie.

  • Amen.

  • I love this song, it capped off the film perfectly.

  • I want to die like that.

  • I want to drive down that road. So bad.

  • Rob is a true artist. what has he created since the beginning that wasn't just fucking awesome and a masterpiece. then these movies.....oh shit

    What art.

I fucking love his work, he knows just what music to use and just what music to make.

  • This Song Is The Sh*t. Its A Great Song For The End Of This Movie!!!!!!!!

  • i hate when they die but i luv when that sheriff dies!

  • u are my bro terry!!!

  • My favorite part of the movie was when you got to see sheri moon zombie's wet ass. Rhode Island reds don't even compare to that. She looks finger lickin' good.

  • Hey,, Ginger Lynn was in this flick?? Awesome!!

  • Rob Zombie used music in a very skilled way in The Devil's Rejects. That's the least you could say. The ending was both emotional and strong, it really sticks out from the rest of the movie due to the choice of music.

  • The Devils Rejects amazing movie. I dont think there would be a better song for the ending then this!!

  • "consider me Willy fuckin' wonka" rofl

  • this is my fukin chocolate factory!!!

  • its songs like that ,that let me i have soul thankyou

  • this song will be played soon

    @ my funeral

  • thanks for posting. this is really a must have in any collection
