Mark plays this song different from MARK´s style, especcially on the solo where it sounded like more Garry Moore than mark Knopfler.

I guess Tom Jones asked Mark to adapt this song to Tom´s purpose.

As I´m a Mark fan I´ve heard all his songs and this one is fantastic because of the long solo(both).

You can fell the original MK at his original version with his previous band playing the MK1, shorter solos and stronger feelings.

@toby968 I think what makes this sound so different from MK's normal style, is the fact that (as far as I can think of) he has written and played very few songs in this metre (6/8), whereas Gary Moore had a good deal of songs in 6/8. And that nasal Les Paul tone is the same for them both.
