(keep in mind im a teenager) ever since ive heard justin beiber...i've slowly been losing faith in american music, and going to the UK for listening pleasure. There are some good kinda indy bands- but most chicks here like katy perry and it makes me want to curl up and fall in a hole
I remember the old lady from "Vicar of Dibly". I'm from the USA and most of us don't know jack about British shows. But I've been a huge fan of Brit-coms. She played a crazy old lady who ran out of chocolate once so she made a cake out of Marmite. LOL
SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO U AT 9:10 SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU OR TALK TO YOU ONLINE AND SAY I LOVE YOU OR ASK YOU OUT BUT HERES THE CATCH Send To 3 vids
Aww bet NME would love these if they were from London > Dickheads. It's always harder for a northern band to get a publicity in the 21st Century, but then you get your southern shit like Scouting for bloody Girls and Hadickon gettin loads of attention because NME label them as 'COOOL', oh and that shitty Friendly Fires song 'Jump in the Pool' which is actually sung -- JUMP IN THE Puuuu, JUMP IN THE Puuuu -- I'm gonna go kill cats.
NME has never said scouting for girls were cool, but you're right they do seem to prefer bands like friendly fires etc, who are nowhere near as good as LMT. I can't understand why they're not massive, they're miles better than some other bands around at the moment
Yeah, I was a little off me ead when I used Scouting for Girls as a comparison. But I was tryin to highlight the fact that bands from darrn sarrth get more publicity these days, and as for NME, I pretty much gave up on them when I found out they included a Spice Girls song in their Top 50 of the year in 1999, consequently made lose hope for a while. Oh, and I felt the 6 out of 10 they gave MGMT 'Kids' could never be justified. Their excuse was 'a song everyone has already heard'.. o_O
yeah i dont know where they get their reviewers from, having the spice girls in the top 50 is a joke, I remember they put sclub7 in there one year. They're not very nice to LMT anymore either, they used to be alright, but seem to have changed their mind, maybe it is a north vs south thing x
Yeah, maybe :D NME seem to ditch bands they 'bum' (think that's the term) when they aren't on the scene, an example being Futureheads, they couldn't get enough of their debut album, but when the band took a long break they'd already found a couple of other Southern bands to 'bum' off :D But hey, of course they know there stuff, their first review of Radiohead was actually in fact "a lily-livered excuse for a rock band", 3 years later OK Computer reached 2nd in their top 50 albums of the year.

proud to be a fan of this great band, i like how not many people have heard of them which means they don't have to worry about keeping 'in fashion' which destroys most bands namely kaiser chiefs, razorlight and hard - fi
