the story is quite complicated. about a boy from a place called zanarkand who is the son of a legend that played the sport blitzball, dissapears and now he takes that role, attacked by an unknown force called sin that supposedly sent him 1000 years in the future. Sent to an island he met a female summoner, which a summoners role is to get rid of sin. But the cost is their death and a cycle goes on where sin comes back for the next summoner to take it on, but this journey is that cycle breaking.
