  • Planet Telex!

  • im from texas, and just wondering. Why does england always look like shit, have they not cleaned up since '45. I want to go so bad

  • @myhaternation1 They clean up the rich parts, it's just the poor bit that are left to look like shit. Mainly because if they bothered to clean up we'd only mess it up again in no time... It's not worth the effort.

  • @myhaternation1 if it's cleaned. we'd fuck it up within days

  • My favourite.

  • @thekillerboytk you are asking to be voted down ;)

  • example looking fly

  • I feel that although the Bible was the "word of God" humans wrote it into text. Humans are known for exaggerations and mistakes. Therefore any part of the Bible could be a lie or misinterpretation. Not to mention what was said below about how it is translated into different languages. Perhaps everything we think we know about God is wrong. The Bible isn't as reliable as it seems IMO.

  • was that example? O.o

  • funny thing about all those translations? not every language uses punctuation! (and some even backwards-speak)... ahh! the irony of metaphor; or is it the metaphor of irony?

  • thank you. 's all i got.

  • RAPTAR!!!

  • Deuteronomy 3:6 "And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city." - Yeah, totally want a letter from that guy.

  • @fknsoda The bible was translated into and from many different languages. It isn't meant to be taken literally.

  • But I like that this song portrays "God" with a more amenable and easy-going personality. He's usually portrayed as strict or cruel by Religion, but this song shows him as a being with actual feelings and a broad personality. He isn't just some commander, and he isn't all-powerful, and can't do anything. As the song said, "All the elements were already there, long before I began, I just sorta put them together, I didn't really think out a long term plan"

  • You know, I'm an Atheist, but I do like this song. I don't hate Jesus, and I do like his morals and ethics he had. I don't believe he meant it literally when he said he was "The son of god" and I don't believe that he ever thought anyone should be horribly punished for something, no matter what they have done. I think he just wanted a world with peace. I don't think that there is a God, just a complex system which works on it's own, like a machine. People are the fraction of this system...

  • FAKE. The letter falling from the sky has no stamp.

  • The most beautifully written and spoken song, about a beautiful and tragic subject... and the two top comments are about the kid's costume...

  • @FlutterDash12 - You do realise that the costume is there to make you divert from the song's true meaning?

  • @The3rdStrikeIsOnYou yes, and find out whose watchful enough to recognize it anyway

  • @FlutterDash12 I was distracted by pony-related username.

  • 1:09 Elliot Gleave (Example)

  • Example looks so funny :')

  • Anyone else spot Example at 1:10? :D

  • lol example!!!

  • Every time the radiohead comes out i smile :)

  • I absolutley love this track!

  • this letter might have been the best letter ever written imo

  • The sad thing about scroobius pips music is that it is impossible to have a favourite as they are all so different and alike...

  • got to love Radiohead at @2:48

  • @Henrylampitt and the beginning

  • The lyrics are genius. Absolutely genius.

  • This video and this song made me smile so big I thought my jaw was going to break. I wish more kids in rad costumes understood like she did.

  • I want that costume. It's so awesome.

  • Love the vid, song, gah!

  • And just noticed Example at 1:05!

  • Just noticed the guy at 2:48 is radiohead

  • Love this song :-)

  • Comment removed

  • And thus, the rise of Raptor Jesus.

  • If only there were subtitles, I like the parts I understood.

  • Love the Radio Head guy :D

  • i bet le sac and scroob are just as pissed about the adverts before this video as we are!

BIG UP SCROOB AND DAN LE SAC. YOU GUYS ARE GODS.

    big love x

  • @Jenbyboy Yeah! Just noticed that myself!

  • Am I the only one who saw example at 1:10?

  • @Jenbyboy The video is 3 years old... I doubt it, as I noticed it back when I first saw it. Plus it is mentioned in the description...

I hope you made this comment for thumbs up.

  • Problem with these songs is that the music overpowers the lyrics, and I couldn't give a crap about the music, the lyrics are the important bit :-/

  • I really like like the concept of god sending a letter to man from the skies :P

  • FUCK YEAH. PUNCH THAT PIMP.

  • This god stuff is getting old, i don't go round killing, raping or generally doing bad things not becuase i'm worried about hell, it's because i was brought up to know the difference between right or wrong, My own moral code or even imagining the guilt i'd feel about killing someone is enough We focus on all the bad in life and in people when the fact is there are far more good people than bad

  • SO CUTE. <3 <3 <3 ^.^

  • I find it semi ironic that the ad they play before this video is insinuating, and encouraging more violence. Anybody else?

  • @thehunteredlife1 my ad was trying to get me to buy a jeep...

  • Featuring, Example ?

  • I want his costume.

  • Long time no see...........

  • That is some lucky kid, walking around in his dinosour custome all day. I wish I was able to do that :(

  • In Pip we trust.

  • Mickey: brothers sisters......why are we fighting....?

Me: well i'll tell ya mick, we'r sorting out this game of beliefs once and for all.

    mickey: oh right

    [ silence]

mickey; do you like lady ga-

every sane person on the planet: NO

    mickey; okay just checking.....

  • this song is used in the R.E classes at my school to give a different look on religion and god in general and for that dan le sac and scroobius pip i thank you

  • @TheJDruce96 Haha my religious studies did that too!

  • Fuck...

Thanks to TV Tropes, I now know this beautiful & incredible song.

    Fuck yes.

  • Love it. Awesome Music. Awesome message. My apology is for nature because I invented you.

  • REPTARRRRRR!

  • Great song dude, people don't usually mix radiohead that well..

  • I may just be a little chilly but I think this track gave me goosebumps.

  • "This poem isn't actually about religion. It is kind of irrelevant to the piece whether or not you believe in God or a God or anything like that. Thats not the point......"~Scroobius Pip

  • God has an english accent??

  • hey its the guy from Example!

  • @CaptainJack324 Example is a person, not a band...

  • My favourite le sac vs pip song, just amazing lyrics, thanks for making music!

  • is that example at 1:10?

  • God is a little girl in a dinosaur costume!

  • The lyrics are not really biblical, but then again it cant be if you are trying to personify God....

  • 1:08 oh hai example lol!

  • Thank you all mighty god, I know you have performed millions of miracles. Would you please perform just 1 miracle on an amputee?JUST ONE? I know that you get millions of prayers every minute but do you hate amputee's?You made the starfish that can pop out a new limb? NOT MAN? lets think of an exuse?

  • HI EXAMPLE

  • ok, to MadocDoyu...

why do you think that you must antempt to crush anothers beliefs....anyway, here is my take on this and your highly rated coment under top comments.

1.) we have to have death , and suffering to understand life and peace, well fully enjoy it. Without those things, its ...just another day.

2.) it makes seems sound to not intervine in what we do because we usualy just ask for our "Greedy agenda"

3.)at 1:04 explains, christianity bacame something he " Did not intend".

  • @hunterkenju ...CONTINUED

he would love to remove disease and death from us but for what we did ( from my beliefs), but we would have learned nothing from our first sin....

yes things are not as he intended, yes it seems he has aboandoned us, and BAD THINGS HAPPEN. besides what started the big bang =-P

anyhow. just please man please, please, please....just think from his "view" why should he stop these things when we wont stop hurting ourselfs.

  • @hunterkenju ....CONTINUED

sory you must have suffered and witnesed suffering..everyone suffers and dies...these "horrors he didnt inteded", and "religion became a tool", not a realtion as "he intded" sorry if you where offended by christians who didnt folow the ways we should, there are so few...that do as they should. but with every death, every illness, we become stronger and rely more on eachother..well at least my family and those i live near and around. WE WILL FIND IT "WHEN" its TIME.

  • @hunterkenju CONTINUED

god bless and i hope you can just live with the fact people believe in god and not IN SCIENCE EXCLUSIVELY!

sory for spelling and God Bless, whethere you believe in him or not..and take care

i pray you have a great life. take care. and have a good evening.

and sory for any typo's and grammar errors. i hope you dont get confused by what i intend to tell you if so send my a message to this profile and i will reply further to what you say, let us come to a peace.

  • @hunterkenju our first sin being eating a peice of fruit?

yeah those starving children in africa deserve to die at the age of 3 because some woman made from a rib taken from a man who was made from dust ate an apple thousands of years ago.

  • @SLAMTproductions youve apparently never read the bible and are going off of one little story that u heard free will of the human race is a factor in those types of things its not gods fault that the human race would rather buy fancy houses and cars tahn donate to charity and ppl that actually could use a bit of extra money and they could just get a regular car regualr house and help out but they dnt theyd rather have their luxuries

  • @putanator Please dont reply

this whole thing was stupid in the first place

and actually ive probibly read more of the bible than most christians

seing as its a fact athiest know more of religion then the religious... coincidence?

"its not gods fault that the human race would rather buy fancy houses and cars tahn donate to charity"

    actually yes it is

if he knows everything thats gunna happen... then he knew that was guna happen and decided to punish them for it anyway... wtf logic is that

  • @SLAMTproductions Both arguements make little or no sense?

  • @SLAMTproductions Sorry to pour salt in old wounds, but I hope to try to answer your closing thought without strife. We have free will, and our responsible for our actions. God's plan was a perfect life, but He didn't create puppets, He told us to, "do what ever we want, but I have one rule. Don't eat from that tree over there." While yes, He is all knowing and knows what our choice will be, He isn't a tyrant who bends us all over and forces us to His will, He's the Father who offers correction.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated "do what ever we want, but I have one rule. Don't eat from that tree over there." if there is only 1 rule what are the 600+ commandments it gave us?

we as people didnt eat from a tree so why should we be dammed to hell for a decision that we didnt make and that god knew would be made against the rules IT created

what kind of loving god would do it, the answer, it wouldnt, because it doesnt exist

"do what you want , but do anything wrong and you get hell" isnt free will

  • @SLAMTproductions Other rules came later when sin itself became manifested in the world of course. We criticize these commands but without them what is there? Any time people are placed in a situation without laws it turns badly. We may not have eaten for the tree ourselves, but who can claim they've never done wrong? God offers us salvation, while it is, "you have to trust Me to save you" the choice is up to us. His love is shown here, He forgives us regardless of transgressions.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated "We criticize these commands but without them what is there?"

your saying if there was no commands that the world would be anarchy and everyone would be killing and raping

so what about me, i havent read all the commands and i live fine, im a good person, what about the none christians who havent read the bible or know of your commands, they live good lives

what about the billion or more people who have no religion and live happy good lives without commands

  • @SLAMTproductions What is the bases for the rules they follow? Where did the original ideal for "good" come from? You say they live without commands but for them to be good there has to be an evil they are keeping themselves from. My point wasn't that only Christians are good people, but that the origin of good came from God. Unknowingly, they follow His commands. That's not to say we do good just because of God either, God is why we can do good.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated this isnt prooving anything

    your just preaching

your saying "but that the origin of good came from God" with litterally no evidence

and if they are following his commands unknowingly... then that isnt free will

    the whole argument is flawed

its free will when people do bad

but its all god when they do something good

you must see how all this stuff is contradictory and doesnt make any sense

  • @SLAMTproductions Not exactly, my wording was bad I apologize. They choose to do what is good in their eyes, it just happens to also be what is Biblically correct is what I was getting at. Attempting to disprove something because there's nothing proving it is also a logical fallacy, granted me attempting to say there is nothing disproving would also say so. I'm sorry if I can't get my point across, I've never been the best with words. Try to think why we would have morals if God is not real tho.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated i didnt try to disprove it, I have no problem with discussing religion with people, its when they start to assert things, find me proof before you make the assertions. We have morals because humans benifit from helping one another, i dont give to charity because i want to go to heaven or because it makes me feel good, i want to help others, like they would want to help me. The same rules of the bible are in the kuran, i have no reason to believe either.

  • @SLAMTproductions Continued. If God didn't love us then there would even be that. But if He forced us to love Him then it wouldn't have purpose either. People say God doesn't exist but without a moral code set by a divine being what purpose is there to life? You live, you die, nothing you do amounted to anything after that. It isn't "do anything wrong" it's "Ignore me" which may sound just as unreasonable, but doing nothing wrong is an impossible goal. Believing in Him is an open door to all.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated Ofcourse theres meaning to life, without god our lives are infinitly more meaningfull.

If gods real then this is just a test, if hes not then we are the result of millions of years of evolution that created intelligence and could be the only form of intelligent life in the entire universe. We could be the only organisms to have conciousness in the unverses existance.

    You must see that.

  • @SLAMTproductions We're in a lock here, both have something that the other must see. If there's no god, why deal with the pain of this world? We work our hardest but no matter what we do or how much we do we die at the end. What weight do our actions have them? What purpose is there to following laws? Death is just getting out early if there's no god, so might as well do what ever we want. No god is anarchy, if there never was one to pass down laws then there would be no reason to obey laws.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated so your saying if i gave you 100% proof there was no god that you would go murder a bunch of people and then kill yourself?

    no ... you woudlnt

you would live the rest of your life the best you could trying to be happy

we dont know the meaning of life

    maybe there isnt one

but we shouldnt make up gods to fill in the gaps cos we just hold ourselves back

if there is a god then this whole life is pointless anyway

  • @ConfusedandFrustated and another thing

Countries with higher rates of athiesm and none belief have lower rates of murder and theft.

People dont need a god like you think they do.

  • @SLAMTproductions Those countries also have a lower population, the ratio will be off in comparison to larger countries. Christians have no claim to perfection themselves, only God is perfect. Among the Christian population there are many who simply go there own way once they feel secure, believing it doesn't matter what they do now. In short, that isn't actually evidence against God but rather a testament to the sinful nature of man showing that we do need God.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated "Those countries also have a lower population"

western europe is very non religious and you cant say they have a small population and places like japan

"Only god is perfect" if so why does it make so many mistakes

why does it need to send a son down to create a loophole in rules that IT created

there are so many flaws and contradictions

and the same rules you are using to justify god could be used to justify allah or thor

    there needs to be evidence

  • @SLAMTproductions The "loop hole" saved us all. He intentionally made the rule that we could possibly break, if there was no way for us to not love Him what value would we have? It was either send His son or kill us all. Here what you should do, take time to study Christianity, take a modern copy, and find a Hebrew old testament, and a Greek new testament. The Bible is inerrant but our translators are. Also study other religions. Evolution was refuted by Darwin himself before he died. Test it.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated I have studied other religions.

Its a fact that athiests know more about religion then the religious.

Darwin himself didnt refute anything, thats made up by the religious. And even if he did it makes no difference, darwin isnt a god and could be and has been wrong. Evolution has gotten infinitly more complex since darwin. We can prove evolution and have, which is why its taught in schools and why religion isnt.

If you want to lie to yourself fine but done lie to me.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated I'm not getting involved in your YouTube discussion but that story about Darwin refuting it on his death bed isn't true, the woman who claimed that wasn't even there when he died.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated Stop thinking that you have just put up with life until you die to go to heaven and actually ENJOY the one chance you've got!

‎"All the religions have been teaching that life should have a purpose. They are reducing life as a means to some end — which is ugly. Life is an end unto itself. To be alive, to be fully alive is enough. There is no goal, there is no purpose. Just here and now, all is. Nothing is missing."

    - Osho

  • @pumpkill I'm not saying that life now is pointless. As to your quote if there is no goal, no purpose, why put up with life or laws in life? If nothing matters at the end why do I have to work to get the things I want? Why not just take the things I want, get rid of the things I don't want, and make me happy until I die? As you can see life without purpose throws away everyone else in the name of me. I'm not saying that we shouldn't live life here, but we shouldn't be stupid with it.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated You have to put up with life and it's laws because that's how it works. There is no real meaning to life, it just is, go deal with it. You have to work because society made it that way - that is man's doing, not God. That was not Osho's point... but what you're saying is true, you CAN just take the things you want and get rid of the things you don't if you so wish, but that's down to if you want to or not. Personally I wouldn't because I like to be a friendly person.

  • @pumpkill "How it works"? Says who? You? Everyone is in the same boat as I am, who are they to tell me what to do? You see, Atheism is the same as Anarchy. It's fine if you choose to be a good person as well, I'm not saying I would do those things, but where does good come from if that is the case? There is no absolute in Atheism, so how do you propose you are a good person?

  • @ConfusedandFrustated The government, laws... made by man! If the government and laws collapsed where would God and morals be then? I can promise you everyone would go just as animal as the next person, even religious people. Let us not forgot the violence religion has caused in its name in the past, and in fact, the present.

Anyway, it is freedom of choice. I choose not to believe and I won't have some crazy preacher telling me what to do thank you.

  • @pumpkill I'm not telling you what to do, I'd like to point out you came to me. Funny that you should say that, this song deals with that exact issue. God and morals would be in the same place, almost everyone would go nuts at that point because not everyone gets it. That just supports what I've said.

  • @SLAMTproductions God's request isn't to do nothing wrong. That's an impossible goal no one can achieve. His is simply believe in me, an open door to anyone willing to trust in Him. That's a loving God I think. As for the 600 commandments, what is life without a moral code? Why do we bother with laws, and regulations if we all die at the end of this anyways? Even people who don't believe in God acknowledge that we need his commandments.

  • @ConfusedandFrustated Your saying that god creates rules, knowing they will be broken , knowing there punishment is the worst possible , doesnt show himself, creates no proof for himself, creates heaps of proof contrary to himself, and then you can call THAT a loving god?

Also the horrible things hes done, in the bible he killed 2,476,633 people and satan killed 10. How are you still trying to tell me this thing is loving, even if he is real he doesnt deserve praise he deserves to be hated.

  • @putanator why do you care so much about religion if you don't believe it any ways people can believe whatever they want if it makes them happy im a budhist i don't believe in a god either but if we tore apart others beliefs for kicks were just as bad as the bible thumpers and will never be happy

  • @hunterkenju The idea that we need the suffering that exits in the world and to balance out with the good or so that we can learn from it and be compassionate sounds good on the surface but it is actually a despicable and malicious thing to say

Imagine saying "you need to suffer for our benefit" to a woman who has just lost her children to malnourishment and famine while she herself suffers from horrible diseases.

Do you think that you can do that? I sincerely hope not.

  • scroobius pip, just a man?

  • 1337 likes!!!!

  • @AmishGramish OMG! I'm not gunna like it :)

  • try living in the uk now, you get taxed and fined so much by the bankrupt government that you barely have the time or money to eat at all ,never mind from 6am to 10pm.

  • Thumbs up to people who saw Example in this video!

  • 2:49 what the fuck is that?

  • @RiverOfSteel it's a radiohead man!!!

  • god invented natural oils in plants and the earth which we mould into plastic to make condoms. theres your answer to world hunger and aids. stop breeding.

  • @juliankosmar Thats almost as impossible as saying to the whole world that you can only eat at 6 AM and 10 PM.

  • Is that Example at 1:08?

  • 1:04 - is that example?

  • @pudsta D: i was just thinkin that haha!

  • i totally raped the replay button :')

  • @MadocDoyu a father beyond any of our understanding. Yet one that COULD exist...if were going the scientific route, wheres the indisputable evidence that "God", or whatever label you wish to use, does not exist?

From my understanding theories are just that, malleable things which change over time with our increased understanding and perception of the universe, as opposed to scientific laws? My point is simply that we do not know everything so it may be wise to leave your mind open..?

  • @31Ullysses

there's a difference between the common usage of the word theory and the scientific understanding of the word. gravity is just a theory in scientific parlance, can't see that changing too much.

  • @realist81UK

Gravity is one of the laws used to explain growth of the universe and, by interpretation, the beginning of it, from what I know about physics, which is admittedly less than some, theories can be disproved whereas laws cannot? That being said, I guess the point i was trying to make was; to stand on either side of a discussion and say your point is 100% correct, no possibility it's wrong, those who don't agree are close minded or mislead...could be seen as hubris to the nth degree?

  • @31Ullysses actually gravity is a theory, not a law. Theory is the highest level of scientific scrutiny something can attain. To be honest gravitational theory is now enveloped by the General Theory of Relativity, but it's still "just" a theory, nonetheless it's a theory. Ironically there's more evidence for things like evolution than there is for gravity, because we felt more of a need to scrutinise that kind of theory. No such thing as a scientific law really.

  • "my teachings were taken out of context to meet the agendas of others, interpretations taken in different ways, hidden meanings discovered,

religion became a tool for the weak to control the strong"

This is why it doesn't matter if you believe in God or not, for the record i feel there is a higher power. To me the point is that organised religion is a form of control, it is not an argument for or against God but a suggestion that we are, as a race, responsible for the planet and "society"

  • Example cameo, lol.

  • 1:10 example's got a crap weekend job

  • @theamyandryan Haha I was wondering if that was him!

  • It's one of the great things about Pip, he allows you to make up your own mind. It's the mark of a great poet and artist.

  • anyone get the video? i don't quite understand the meaning (of the video no the song)

  • hey_ÀNý_gúYs_wÄñt_t0_chát_wÏth_mé

  • parents of the year right there just leave the kid we dont it.

  • EXAMPLE IS IN THIS WOOOOOOOP

  • so the guy @ 1:04 thats wearing the billboard and handing out leaflets is definitely example

  • what somg is the radiohead sample from?

  • @pompeygriff Planet Telex.

  • Love the song, awesome lyrics and great sample- i can't believe more people aren't aware of it. I'm pretty sure it's a cameo by Example wearing the sandwich board in the vid- random!

  • God! I wish I could get away with wearing a Dinosaur outfit like that!

  • like this is you noticed the man with a tv for a head at 2:50....

  • I want to be a green dinosaur

  • BRILLIANT!

  • the song's about mankind, and how we've failed ourselves and this miserable planet, YAY

  • you guys need to make a trip out to edmonton or calgary lol id sell my soul to see you live... your song magicians assistant saved my life

  • I'd like to take this time to laugh at every moron who's writing to God in response to this video... as though they're actually God's words.

    You're all morons.

  • Im the little boy that runs at 1:25 :)

  • @baydaboi it took you 2 years to find a video you're in? I call bs

  • @MrNommas Or i just didnt have a youtube account....

  • Stop stuffing human words into my mouth, like this. --God

  • @ThorGoLucky This comment is ironic...

  • @ThorGoLucky this is really good, you can't deny that, it says a couple of things I dont agree with 100% but it does a great job explaining how I feel about my religion

(God doesn't hate gays :) just so you know, Im not, but people tend to think god hates gays bis murderers and the like but the bible spreads love and you KNOW thats right)

  • @1031jag You're c ompletely missing the point here. The song isn't about religion. He's just used religiopn as a struicture so people would understand. It's an outlook on how the world and the people in it work. It's just really clever using religion as a framework.

  • @welshmando yes, I know that but still... my comment is still true...

  • "I haven't been around much lately, but it didn't seem like you wanted me to be. The last time I sent down a message, you nailed it to a cross..."

Gee, God, I'm sorry for nailing your boy to a cross. We thought that was what he was sent here to do.

  • @Dissimul You make me sad in the pants.
