Actually the best version of this song is Carreras singing this with piano in a video concert in Berlin... that one will drive men and women wild! I think the piano player was Vincenzo something... and I want to say it was East Berlin before the wall came down. I just know that it was the best version of this I've ever heard!!!!

En otro video lei que Placido Domingo era el unico que cantaba esta cancion al final de un concierto (cuando la "voz ya esta cansada.") Pero bueno aqui hay una muestra de final de Encore con dicha cancion. En lo particular me gusta mas como la canta Domingo, pero esta interpretacion de Carreras es BELLA.

I know, before I start, that I will be transfixed by the beauty and power of Mr. Carreras voice; then he always adds some extra touch of artistry that carries me away farther than I expected. Here, he moves on without pause from the opening bars into the body of the song, as if he had done nothing about which to pause.

I'm so glad that he's teaching Master classes now! It's important to pass on this kind of skill at finding the extra bit of art. He has that skill!
