No, actually, those were just bats, the lightmass bomb completely wiped out the Kryll forever, because Kryll can't stand light and vaporize at its touch, the explosion's light killed them, only Locust (which are the most epic things ever) survived. Poor Kryll.

@rifleman1002 Imulsion-the substance the flame boomers have in their packs, also in the Hammer of Dawn. In the 2nd one you and Dom get to go by boat through the underground lakes (right before finding Maria) and you can see the stuff glowing. I'm assuming that is the reason, other than the fact that it's hard to play a game when you can't see anything.

@rifleman1002 In GOW2, it didn't seem nearly as dark as the first one for me. I have a smeggy tv so though I love GOW1, it's nearly impossible to see your character in some of the darker parts. I could see everything in the 2nd, even in some of the darker areas. I know a lot of people complained about the darkness in the first game and I think the gameplay was lightened up and slightly more color added in the 2nd as a response.
