@TheOneAndOnlyKidknot It's not censorship to protect first responders from those who wish to do them harm for simply doing their job. There's a difference between first amendment rights and blatantly endangering others.
No, they aren't a class of people at all. They are, however, provided with the ability to redact their personal information from public sources to help them protect themselves from those who would do them harm, simply because of their occupation. These public servants, along with other first responders put their lives on the line so that others may live.
