Hospitals Should be Government Worldwide. Hospitals with all Antidotes for Times of Emergencies. Hospitals with enough Doctors and Nurses to serve Emergency needs . Hospitals that allow patients to stay and rest instead of hurrying them to leave. Hospitals with well trained Surgeons and Physicians. Hospitals with enough rooms and beds to meet population needs.

Hospitals are already shutting down. There is no Medical Care System. Insurance Companies are overcharging. Hospitals are overcharging. WE CAN afford it. It's called The Currency. Government is keeping the System under their Control. They don't want the people to hold power although they claim its the People's Republic. They want to feed people stimulus money which they claim is causing a federal deficit. Meanwhile they are funding Billion Dollar NASA and Manhattan projects.

I'm taking chemistry in college right now (a requirement for getting into most medical schools) and I'm seeing way too many smart students do poorly because even though they understand concepts, they can't do the actual work (which requires understanding of ratios, scientific notation, simple algebra) etc.

Just remember for all those thinking being an ER doc is fun, the average "lifespan" of an ER doc before burn-out is about 9 years! I know from experience! It ruined my home/personal life & you're under constant stress. And I was an ER doc for only 4.5 years! I went back to school & got a masters in business administration. Now I have my own corporation, travel, live well w/o stress & have a different goegeous woman whenever I want! The ER isn't what you may think it is. Now I give the orders!

This is a great reality show, because it shows how the dedicated professionals of the ER trauma teams do awesome work in saving lives everyday. It sure ain't always pretty, but they are true heroes to me-great bunch of people for sure.

They saved my life at an ER at least once.

There was one kid who, sadley, decded to drive drunk and run from the police he died and was a donor and they took out his beating heart and my mom quietly said: we just watched him die...I thought wow....and then cried but his organs went to several other people

And you know how helpful the nurses were?Not very.They screwed up my meds, refused to tell my family anything, and wouldn't let my boyfriend come in to see me. One of them told me I was in an accident because I'm gay. So funny that you accuse me of failing to mention the nurses. I guess you feel your opinion actually fucking matters.

Used to watch this show along with "paramedics" (what ever happened to that show???) every chance I got as a kid. I mean I was 8 or 9 and already watching this stuff. I think that's how I discovered my passion for emergency medicine. I'm hoping to begin my EMT training this fall and then who knows what that will lead to.

Good for you man. Good luck with the training. Paramedics was a great show. I believe privacy and patient confindentiality issues were what brought that show to an end. I was sad too. I used to watch it with my grandfather as a kid and he'd be cringing at the blood and stuff and I would just be taking it all in, trying to learn something :)

Yes Tampa is a Level 1 trauma center. One in Tampa, Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Jacksonville and Miami.
