Your effort is appreciated. However, we need to expand/adapt our strategies. For example devising a cheaper yet still effective military force, preferably a Central Asian one, taking over our (military, especially peacekeeping) duties. Afghans are in need of effective management and higher education allowing them finally to start developing their country. Infrastructure development will allow the Afghans to tap into the natural minerals and finance their further development.

Your effort is appreciated. However, we need to expand/adapt our strategies. For example devising a cheaper yet still effective military force, preferably a Central Asian one, taking over our (military, especially peacekeeping) duties. Afghans are in need of effective management and higher education allowing them finally to start developing their country. Infrastructure development will allow the Afghans to tap into the natural minerals and finance their further development.

I agree with the latter. But, a high percentage of poppy farmers do not get a choice in the matter. I was deployed with the 181st to an eastern province and a lot of farmers report that they are forces by terrorist factions and drugs lords, THEN have to give money to fund operations. It's unfortunate.

I don't believe the US is there to strip the country of it's riches. I believe that ever since Obama and the Democrats took office the Liberals stopped protesting and burning images of the President. Now that Liberals see there are minerals there that they want for their electric cars there are not going to be many protesters calling for ending the war today. Of course they shall say it's to help the people of the area and not for anything else.

Liberals had a problem with the war when Bush was President but with Obama Liberals are suddenly very silent on the war. Until now the US as a country didnt earn a penny from all those "anti-terror wars". On average they are in deep red numbers. This is "proof" that all those who claimed the US had ambitions to exploit, to steal resources from those countries doesnt hold water.
