Pelle was indeed one of the best and it saddens me even to this day that we've lost him for over 20 years now. I was a Devils fan growing up in north Jersey when it happened, and even though I hated the Flyers THEN, I prayed hard for him because he was THAT good.

When I read in the NY Daily News that he had died, my heart just sank, it really did. If Heaven needed a goalie, they got a damn good one in you, my friend!

I was born a Devil fan, but I'll die a Flyer one, God bless your soul!
