I understand that. I've been hypnotised by Jon himself on one of his courses but was she 'in trance' or was the change more to do with the symbolism and desensitisation that is used in fast-phobia cure? There's no doubting that she had a major shift in her thought processes, and there's certainly no doubting Jons abilities, but it's good to pinpoint 'why' something has worked.
Can smoking be cured in this way too? The idea of attaching the desire/need to have a cigarette to a symbol?

I notice at 3.55 she is moving quite a lot, swinging the chair etc. Would that indicate that she was only in a very light trance?
