Stock 7MGTE has about 190WHP stock back when it was new the 2JZ-GTE in the MK4 had about 270whp new then the aristo 2JZ-GTE had about 230whp.
But with light mods all could achieve massive gains.
The 7MGTE shows great gains with just turbo back exhaust because the most of the Stock Bolt on crap was super restictive. its been Dyno proven with Exahust and intercooler on the 7m-GTE can make 240-260whp untuned and whatever boost the car flows is usaully 11-13psi after those mods
Negative, Ghostrider. The 7mgte came stock with the CT-26 turbo. Stock boost varies between 6.5-7psi, and pushes 230-232 BHP, the slight differece for '89+ models.
The MKIV Supra does NOT come with 320whp stock, it's 320BHP- big difference...
6 seconds to 60 mph isnt that slow, and Im almost positive this is a mark III supra so it has under 300 hp. the mark IV has 320 and does it in 5 flat. in anycase this car is probably bone stock.
its an 88. 7mgte with 1 c12 ceramic turbine. i think with stock 7 psi of boost it has 230 whp. give or take a little. where as the 2jzgte has twin c12's and GETRAG 6 spd. and better head flow etc. and has as said about 320 whp. plus most 2jz's on youtube are upgraded beyond many of our budgets.
not flaming just informing, but its the ct26 turbine and it put out .35 bar (5psi) boost. and with the 2jz ur right about everything except the hp it was advertised at 280Bhp due to the gentleman's agreement but turned out to have 320Bhp not whp.
@crzygutrsnobrdr If you read about the gentlemans agreement which the mkIVsupra falls under the highest advertised hp allowed is 280hp and though usdm 2jz's had 550cc (low imp) instead of 440cc (high imp) injectors and steel turbines instead of ceramic those are only used once modified, the usdm would accept a boost controller more readily but other than that aside from stock tuning (10hp more usdm)and a mkiii with a stock j spec ran 265whp which puts it above 280bhp at a car show in the summer
@crzygutrsnobrdr also germany got the best mkIV with diff cooler and ram induction to cool the engine more directly, you are right in saying the usdm made more power than the jdm but definitely not that much more from the math for that 265whp is just under 300bhp around 20 less than the usdm. read about the gentlemans agreement
@2013645 im 100% aware of the gentlemans aggrement. The us supra was 320hp. theres a big difference between whp and crank hp. 20hp is enough to feel a difference. Bottom line the us supra makes more power its not a big deal man. ceremic blades brake easily

@2013645 no it was 280 every where in the world.but in the us they made it 320.i know one of the differences was the bigger injectors.
