Sooo cool & down to earth as usual. That description fits Joe. He is in a class of his own that noone can come close to.He can uplift the spirits with his personality and lyrics plus great guitar riffs to our ears. I could go on & on with the compliments and those who know of him for all these years know what I mean.
such a great artist, solo or with the eagles, his solo career reminds me of george harrison after the beatles split up. He's definetly the most down to earth, compared with glenn frey and don henley's ego's clashing.Case and point, joe walsh u rock.
@psiclone35 Joe Walsh, Bernie Leadon, Randy Meisner and Don Felder were who kept Henley and Frey's egos in check. What thanks did Henley and Frey give Meisner and Felder, their walking papers.
I just saw the Eagles last night at the Idaho Center in Nampa, ID. Don, Glen, Joe, Timothy.... all incredible! Legends. I feel very fortunate to have finally got to see them. I hope they keep going as long as they can.
Pick up the dog doo - hope that it's hard... I guess we all have our share of shit in life no matter how it comes. Old saying: very rare: Life is like a shit sandwich. The more bread ya got the less shit ya gotta eat.
Cool as usual, from Joe.He certainly added much to the Eagles' fame.He did so well solo. His guitar riffs are so much better than others who are made out to be. Just my opinion.
@brandonmc09 Nice to know you feel the same way. Electric guitar music is my favorite. There sure aren't many who can really rock the guitar. I also like Def Leppards' Phil Collen.

This song is such a lie, Joe Walsh is not ordinary, or average.. Thats why hes a rock star.. lol, I mean get fuckin real. He may truly think he is, but he truly isn't...However, maybe he is singing about other guys.. I don't know... I just know that he isn't "average".
Yeah, & it's a fictional narrator in the song that's delivering comedic lyrics. It's like saying that George Lucas thinks that he can use the Force because he created the fictional concept for the SW movies.
Good song, very late 80's/early 90's feel to it. I guess this is kinda my theme song. I work in a factory setting, bought a fixer upper home I;m working on right now, and drive a Kia rio. I used to know someone from school, I guess hes got some job in Chicago and has been out of the country on vacation, drives a BMW. A life I couldnt imagine but this song kinda makes me feel about where I'm at. I think blue collar folks get made fun of alot but the educated ellties and the media in this county

I hear this song at work all the time. And it makes me crazy. The weird dissonant electronic scoops in the beginning and middle, the theme of mediocrity, the effect that Walsh has on his voice, the way he says "a-VER-age", when he repeats the word average over and over again. It makes me put down the laundry detergent I'm stocking and start rocking in a fetal position...
if you like this check out Richard Marx video DON`T MEAN NOTHIN..... Joe plans guitar on that....Richard hung on the coat tales of the Eagles in those days..... and if Joe touches a song it`s gold......
When one of my daughters, Angeliou, was an itty bitty barely walking little angel (she still is,.......yet she walks) I used to play this song an aweful lot,
wow...... this brings back memories. My best friend that i moved away from, we used to listen to this, we were only 5 but god this song speaks to me. Maybe ole thomas will find this and respond. Yeah this is alex and if your out there it be great to talk to you again.
Hang in there bud. It can get better. Joe Walsh had problems with booze and mayber drugs (I am not sure). He got clean. You can clean it up too. I know you can do it. Get some support.......support group or something.
