I cant get past the urge to breathe i heard if u get past that tou can really start to relax underwater but my personal best is 43 seconds but it was 22 seconds when i first started any good videos that show breathi g exercises for this?
@SLAPPYxGAFFNEY running is the easiest way to increase lung expantion. also sitting aroung and holding your breath helps. Ive been able to hold my breath for almost 2 minutes after my 3rd day of "training". I just wish that there was a good place to dive were i live :(
anybody know a good place to freedive with good visibility in the Long Island sound??
@rushsps250 look up east coast freedivers. there are quite a few people from NYC that drive to Dutch Springs in Bethlehem, PA to go freediving. They have a couple of videos on here too.
How do you get past that urge to breathe... Theres got to be an easier way, i can only hold my breathe maybe 60 seconds while moving under water like that. and thats a maybe if it was a do or die situation.
very nice mate...u got very good bottom time...gara is one of the top choices but the prices is very steep compared to mares razor. thanks for the video.
For all the people worrying about equipment: You could also start freediving without fins. Although fins are a lot of fun the basic techniques are learned without using them. I am a beginner freediver and what I learned is that learning how to be safe, do static apnea, maybe little bit of dynamic without fins is much more important then having these cool long amazing fins. :P Just my 2 cents.
@MarreLirre Affordability sake, I'd stick with Cressi. As far as which model the Gara 3000's are what I personally use. I've gotten to use the Gara 2000's, they are quite a bit stiffer if that's what you prefer; a bit harder to get a hold of though. I'd recommend ordering the fins off of ebay, I've noticed a huge price difference when compared to stores.
@MarreLirre Carbon blades -more power, better push when you go down and go back up with less physical effort ,burn less air which means longer dive time, better chance to score a good shot (if you spearfish of course). Once you try them you would not go back to the plastics ones. Cons -more expensive, also they can be broken if not used properly.
@doogleisfat yeah, but if ur gonna listen to U2 songs, listen to the actual band. These guys made a joke out of this song. I clicked on another video cause i didn't want to rip my ears out of my head. real U2 always.
keep those knees straight : )

sweet vid, u need to work on arm stroke, way to far away from ur body, keeping the push close to ur bodes maximises efficency and hydrodynamics,
give it a try :-)

@rushsps250 oh, and the vis at Dutch Springs is usually awesome. At least 20 feet I'd say... but probably better on most days.

i LOVE diving n swimming in water as if it was human's natural element
the only annoying thing is the ears
water in the ears. or if u make a spin. water dropping into ur ear
going back up half deaf. potential eeardrum damage
the blowurnose thingy dangerous..Etc..earplugs can actually get pushed in...gets worse the deeper u go....
i hate it TT.TT

@swimmersunite Well each to their own, although I do prefer the original, I am a big fan of Trent Reznor's work, including this cover.
