Yes, like we taken icarly seriously, and the political theatre in Congress and the Senate seriously. Film was still in its infancy. The people were pioneers. NOW, the same histronics are on Jersey Shore, Real Housewives of .... top rated shows. The world had a different mentality then,, too.

Mad Love is totally absurd, interesting though. It's hard to even imagine a world where this kind of histrionics were taken seriously.
