@marnao122 Yeah about the only product I like from them is their pancake syrup. I think they are just targeting a different audience than me -- extreme low Calorie people (with perhaps no taste buds -- just kidding). :-)
Hey Kent, I too have found the walden farms products to be not worth the money. I have had a lot of success with the kc masterpiece low carb but they discontinued it. I've read good reviews on Jok n' Al's bbq sauce thats available on Netrition's website but am a little wary of it's ingredients. What do you think of that particular sauce and is there any other prmade ones you recommend? Thanks for the vids.
I still have a supply of KC Masterpiece from the last time I bought it. Sorry never have tried that other one either...
If I eventually run out of my KC brand and no other appear on the market (Kraft apparently has one too), I will probably go back to making my own again with Heinz One Carb Ketchup.
Hey sorry to ask u so many questions hope u don't mind :)
I'm soon on my goal wieght which is arround 171- 176 lbs i''m 194.0 atm
i was wondering can i eat like a burger and fries once a week like Mc donalds, when i'm on my goal wieght? and eat maybe 1 chocolate bar a week? or is to much? or can i only eat once a month? something that has been on my mind for time even if i still have 1 month to go till my goal. thx ur awesome lol
Once you hit your goal weight you can eat within your limit which you should be establishing now if you are close. You should currently be trying new foods and adding 5g additional per week until you stop losing or maintain your current weight. Check out the OWL video for types of foods you should include each week.
Thank You for not prostituting yourself to these Low Carb product companies. You actually Care about people loosing weight on atkins and not just about making a few bucks to be told what to say. Congrats for not being a sellout!
Hey I am going to be honest about what I think. If company wants me to review their product, I promise to tell watchers up front and still tell what I think about it. Not depending on this for a source of income gives me a latitude to be absolutely honest.
Walden Farms. I don't really care for any of their stuff. I once tried their sugar free ketchup and their sugar free chocolate syrup. Yuck!!!I would rather go without! I have used diet cola for the making of BBQ sauce and I added a touch of vingar, worchestershire sauce, soy sauce and mustard. Liquid smoke sounds like a plus for next time. I love the smell of that stuff. Thanks for the advice, it is always very helpful! You are awesome!!!
Riding bikes - nothing better to be outside, just riding a bike. I was and am amazed that $60 bike held up as well as it did to a 375 pound guy and still works well today.
Lifting Weights - I focused almost primarily upper body as just walking is plenty resistance workout when you are over 375 pounds.
I also did walking on incline treadmill and Elliptical trainer as time went on.
Unlike the KC Masterpiece option, the Kraft Light brand has added sugar and the same modified food starch. Its ingredients are:
Water, Vinegar, Concentrated Tomato Juice (Water, Tomato Paste), Sugar, Modified Food Starch, Salt, etc.
It's still pretty high in Calories too double what regular ketchup is, so definitely no Induction. After Induction if you can handle 7g carbs for a condiment, you can have it.
yay Kent!!! great video man! I was wondering what a good bbq sauce is and now I know :) thanks! can't wait to try it with my burgers! Put the cheese on the inside with a drop of bbq sauce, mmm sounds good to me! So other then that, how the hell are ya Kent? Long time no see, well from me anyways. I'm back, obviously lol I got a new video up too. oh well ttyl
The KC stuff is really good and is nearly indistinguishable from the commercial high carb stuff.
Doing good but extremely busy... The half marathon effort on Sunday wore me out for the first part of the week, and now work is grinding the second half. :-) It's good to be settled down into a routine, and workouts should resume shortly, which aid in my sanity.
I really need to get caught up on all my friends' videos, but this week was more about work & sleep. :-D
OK - maybe the difference is that I only cook with it. I don't use it as a dipping sauce. I've used it on steak and even in chili and it tasted quite good. I do remember using it as a dip once and wasn't a fan... but I do think it's pretty good on steak. I ordered mine through a low-carb mail-order grocery store here in Canada.
Which one, Brian, the Walden Farms Thick & Spicy one? My problem with it besides the viscosity was I think they confused it with the maple syrup batch as it maple flavor was way too strong. One thing I haven't tried is cooking with it, which may produce different results.
he i'm in induction now and i wieght 198 lbs atm how long will it take me to get to 167 lbs? if i do it by the book because i have been on 198 for quite long time i don't understand :S
Do yo have a specific one you like more? I am certainly willing to try something new, but my history with Walden Farms has not been too good. Are any of them thick like a ranch of caesar dressing?
I do not like any Walden Farms products. They are all nasty!

I hope you like it -- I still find it amazing the usefulness of a aspartame-free diet cola...

Thanks for saving me the trouble on trying that product.
I am going to look for the KC classic blend
thanks for the review

You are welcome... It's probably the most difficult of the KC Blends, but the SuperTargets in my area carry it.

I prefer 1000 island. I mix it w/ my cucumber in my mini chopper and make cold cucumber soup.
