Had that guitar for like 3 months and loved it. It is the best 7 for under $700! I got mine on ebay for $500 though. Now I got the ESP Viper 7 for $875 used and costs $1600 new, but it has 707's that I don't care for when compared to the 81-7 this beast had. The satin finish is the same on my Viper, but the Viper is darker in color. Either way it makes the back of the neck fast as fuck and I love that fo sho! Eat shit Ibanez!

@georgebushy I HAVE ONLY ONE COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS GUITAR. I put all my new guitars through what I call "The Set Up Test" where I play the guitar everyday for as long as i can without doing any maintenance (strings, neck adj, etc.). EVERYDAY I had to come back and retune it slightly, not much, but enough to get annoying. THEN after 2.5 months.. FRET BUZZ! most of my guitars last 3-4 months before I need to do anything. I put GHS Boomers on and worked it in, now every 3 days i may have to retune..
@xXMUurTXx If you like Schecter you won't want to here my answer lol.... Nuff said. I had a problem with an Omen 7 string, i didn't like the feel of it... I've always been pretty attached to the way LTD/ESP feels and in my opinion (JUST MY OPINION) I think anyone that buys a schecter, shoulda just bought an LTD. I couldn't give you an honest comparison; A: because I'm biased towards ESP. B: because I lack severe knowledge of what schecter is even putting out these days. Hope this helps :)

@R3thed007 Drop F# would do fine with this beast. You can go pretty damn low.. I do not think the scale is too short at all. now, vs the sc607B. This all depends if you like baritones. I would like to see the backside of the sc607B and actually pick it up so i can give you a good evaluation on the two. The tone will be a little more bassy judging by the vids i've seen and you can tell also by the way he wanted those pickups positioned.. i wish i could tell you more but my knowledge is limited.

@Simonguitar LTD is AWESOME when it comes to there Deluxe series I have a EC-1000 and i love it. The flame maple top finish is always good looking. The H-Series is not much different other than a couple things; 1. It's Deluxe, So its gonna be shinier and have the flame maple finish. 2. It's going to have the locking tuners on the headstock. 3. The tone is a switch instead of a toggle (not a biggy) 4. The Deluxe is going to be a Set-Thru Neck vs Neck-Thru body construction. So really----
@Simonguitar it is all about your price range and if you want the extra looks and perks for the extra $400(ish) you may spend vs. the MH-417 which will sound exactly the same (pending on amplification of course) for a cheaper price. It's just not going to have the same quaility of looks and small features as the H-series. I spent just under $800 for my MH and i love it. But if both were the sma e price I would get the H-1007. Hope this helps?
this one b cuz 1st thing, it has the flat finish witch is wat Id rather have b cuz I have an LTD AX-50 and I love the neck on that one more rather than like a gloss finish on the back of the neck, an the second thing is the sound, b cuz the H-1007 has a flamed maple top, mahogany body, and a maple neck, and this one has Mahogony body Maple neck and still sounds good, so I'm taking this one.
