If FIFA looked at the world cups when the ball wasn't "special" (1998 and 2002) and saw how entertaining those games and goals were, and then looked at how the number of goals has dropped off for 2006 and 2010, maybe they'll realize that the best ball to use is the one that they used for those world cups. They got it right, so why try to improve it?

Actually the best WC ball ever created was the 1994 ball from USA all of the others had something modifyed to make it lighter. The 2002 ball however redeemed some of the quality compared to the 1998 ball and could easy position iteslf as the best football (or soccer, wathever ) ball ever created but it was too light and was only useful for a few amounts of games and after 200 games all that renauins are raggs. While as a kid I played 500 games with the US ball and only got minor scratches.

Also, one aspect that is great about soccer/football, is that there is no opportunity to manipulate the clock and run it down and weasel and squeeze time out of a game. It's all about the struggle and great looking goals! There's no coach screaming for time-outs (day care) or holding a ball and letting the seconds tick by. It's non stop and competitive. It really is deep.
