U dont need a normal assault squard when u can hav a squad of death company with jet packs. If u can find a list big enuff u can get 30 in a squad this pumps out mega attacks.

That's awesome your back into 40k! I took a long hiatus myself about the time 2nd/3rd edition came out(a few months after chaos came to 40k).Youtube vids reminded me how much i loved this game,but Assault on BR was the only way i could afford to start up again(+i have orks to trade!). What made you choose blood angels over space wolves??? as far as i know theyre both close combat armies...I only have the new vanilla ultramarines codes, but i was wondering if u could explain the others a bit?TY!

@druthu If I would get special shoulder pads for my troops I would get them from Forgeworld because I think they look better. I'm no trying to speak for anyone, I wonder why you thought they were fine and Bolgard found them to be to small?

if you want to be cheap, yes, but the best way to do it, is to ACTUALLY BUY blood angels :) im being cheap and turning a bunch of random space marines into chaos, using bits im buying on ebay

Not going to lie.. I alwaysed found that space marines look better without solder pads allot of the time

But if you give them a rhino. You know you'll have 18 inches, you only get 12 definite inches and a D6 for a run with jump packs. Plus it gives them a small buffer from marine killing weapons. In the rhino. That and a 4+ cover the first turn, without killing any marine. I do however support at least a small squad of jump pack troops just for a fast counter attack.

ok well i give all my assaults jump packs because I deep strike all my marines anyway. and im also confused on why i got thumbs downed for talking about the assault on black reach tactical since its easy to assemble and its 10 bucks instead of 30 and easy to convert.

I don't know, I wasn't part of that. I think anything w/ jump packs (Or equivalent) have their place in almost every army you can take them. Most of those places are the same for most armies now and days but they still have their place.

hey bolgard if you want to sidestep transfers you can order plastic forgeworld blood angel shoulder pads from their website especially made to fit infantry arms. ;)

nice army. i also got back to 40k after playing for 3 years im now not a noob nor a experiance player just a normal player ^^ my army is a 1000pts Lemun Russ generic marine called "Blood wolves" they are machanise so lots of rhinoes and razorback. i am buying 2 box of blood claws as they can be my assult squad without buying the ones with jump pack. Happy wargaming ^^

well good mate but i would hand paint the icons on you marines and tanks because transfers kinda suck too so i thought i would just mention that because you figs would look alot better =D

put some matt varnish over the transfer it makes it look better and almost like it was hand painted. My GW friend did it with his imperial fist icon on the shoulder looked really good.
