I'm blown away how much the current sirius show just sucks. not only is it a 4 day work week but he has the balls to take off like 25 days in august. i really do feel ripped off for purchasing a subscription. this old stuff is sad to watch bc it reminds me of how good the show use to be.... either he has lost his edge or the large amount of money has just gone completely to his head.

I don't mind the time off all that much, but man do I agree with you on the show as a whole....it's a COMPLETELY different show now....remember the days when he was angry at everyone? Now all you hear is "I hate Jay Leno"....over and over and over and over.....All I hope is that when Howard does retire or cut down his schedule, he hands over the reigns to Bubba....I personally like Bubba's morning show re-broadcast in the afternoon better than the Stern show....

+1 on that observation. Anybody who hadn't listened to the show prior to his move to Sirius would only need to listen to the History of Howard Stern to hear the differences. I remember the promos for his show back in the day (late 90's early 2000's) and he would be screaming at callers telling them to die. He still has people he despises (like Jay) but now he seems more annoyed than genuinely angry. To be fair, he HAS done some incredibly funny bits on Sirius.

I wouldn't say it's because Artie is more sensitive than Jackie.. I think there's two other reasons though. Artie is just respected a bit more than Jackie was because he's NOT such a whiney bitch making demands all the time or leeching off people. And also, if they were to tweek Artie to an extreme he'd tend to be a bit more violent which isn't good. So it's more of genuine respect mixed with a little fear that keep them from fucking with him as much.
