@jababaaa You doo know the chances of getting lung cancer smoking a pipe is like 0.01% since you do not inhale the smoke. The risk of oral cancer is still low. My grandfather smoked a pipe for bout 40 years never got cancer.

@jababaaa I don't think you understand. There's a difference between smoking a cigarette, and smoking a pipe. You don't inhale a pipe, at most the only real cancer you can get is mouth cancer, and still chances of that are really low iff you maintain your oral health well (i.e always brushing teeth, flossing, mouth wash, etc.)

Unlike cigarette smoking it doesn't affect the lungs at all, since you dont inhale when you smoke a pipe, well, IF you dont.. and the tobacco used in pipes is free of tar and other toxins, which its a lot of in cigarettes.

Do you have your pipes scheduled on an insurance policy?

You have quite a bit of money invested in those pipes and if your house burned to the ground your insurance company wont pay a penny (some will pay a flat 500 for all of them such as they do for unscheduled firearms). You have to have them scheduled on your policy aside from a standard home owners or renters policy.
