That all connections are on the right side isn't ok. The sound of the fan is no problem for me but there should be a possibility to control the fan through BIOS. The keyboard and touchpad's ok, but the touchpad buttons should just work like the DELL ones, not fixed on one side. Tried XP, works fine. Am using Ubuntu server (KK - because it matches my initials) now and it works fine, too. Cheapest buy was Amazon for 399 € (incl. shipping).
@alimkanji: Which one do you have? I think for the 610 (Intel) only the Intel video driver exists. If you search for the ATI driver just change the language ("Choose your software/driver language: ") to German and youĺl find the ATI drivers (which you can get by surfing the ATI-website, too). Have fun!
