Actually Mark is growling in Empire as far as I remember.... Enough to end youurr lifeeee (backing track) to acheive that vaccum effect you need a high pitched and a growl vocal at the same time so I'm pretty convinced he was able to grow even earlier and again on The Infection there is so much growling and nice stuff anyways Year of The snake pwans!! both track and video! Chimaira kill and todd bell's a beast. :)

@Nasenhaarschaar You haven't heard that many of their songs then. Secrets of the Dead he growls, Coming Alive, and On Broken Glass. He developed it after Resurrection I'm guessing.
