sorry but UCLA USC MIAMI ALABAMA IOWA OSU TEXAS and OU have the best strength programs in the country and thats based off of how many people theyve put in the NFL over the past decade.
@Scienceoverreligion look at the past 5 years, Mizzou has put a fair share in the NFL. YEs over the past decade the overall numbers are lacking but not now. UCLA?come on. They are old news. Just look at the playoffs. Mizzou has 2 starting on defense for the Falcons...Sean Weatherspoon and William Moore. 2 starting on defensive line for the 49ers, Aldon Smith and Justin Smith(3rd overall pick 2001). Ziggy HOod for the Steelers. you put UCLA but no Florida??
@killyou45 ALL you need is power rack, squat rack (thought the power rackcan double as your squat rack) a free olympic bench press station and an olympic bar with plenty of irion...maybe a dip bar station and bar for chins/pulls..anything else is fluff. RAW is best

this type of training is good for strength and boosting testosterone, but if you do it often, it will give you a rather shitty body and an almost guaranteed cornucopia of joint problems later on in life.
@Javier1391 Believe me, asking people to shut up on youtube never works. instead, try to come up with a decent argument, that way i might at least respect your opinion, if not agree with it.
@Javier1391 i never said that this wasn't what it took -read my original comment- , all i mentioned was that this kind of training should not be performed often if you want to avoid injuries and wearing down joints. And no, i'm not a football player, but i'm an athlete and i understand that there are certain risks one must take to win. this message was just intended to warn all the people who are not pro athletes and attempt heavy plyometric training.
@Javier1391 Do you reply to comments before reading them? i'm starting to think that... for the last time, my original comment was aimed at the viewers who would make a workout routine out of this video (and believe me, that happens often) without being high level football players. You are still hung up on the same, wrong idea that you got from being a careless reader, and you are trying to make an argument based on that.
@mecaganopoderentrar i agree.. don't over exert yourself..have respect for your body..hehe i play highschool football...after i saw this i was like 0.0
@mecaganopoderentrar i seriously doubt that they go balls out like this all the time. it's a D1 school, they're not gonna have dumbass strength coaches.
@OHWolves1694 yeah, i'm not saying they do it all the time, i just know that there are lots of people who get workout ideas and routines out of these videos... so I gave the pros and cons of such heavy and explosive training. i also specified that most of the cons came if you practiced these moves often. :)
@hokiecb30 Yelling really loud doesn't help anything. Neither does jumping around after a heavy bench or power clean. We are not apes anymore. No sense in acting like it
@youbite1 Of course. Almost every day. But I stand by my comment. Yelling really loud and jumping doesn't help. I can understand getting hype and making some noise but this is excessive
@tehvaonmas It looks fine to me because a lot of the yelling looked like it was max day because most only did one rep and were breaking school records.
do you guys perform your clean max-outs starting with the bar up, or do you start from the floor? Just trying to develop my own strength program and am looking at different techniques and suggestions.
@snowbs08 well believe what you want but, I turned down a chance to play at Mizzou, was not invited to walk on at NU, so I ended up playing at a small college in western Neb. (Chadron State College) I played with Don Beebe (Buff. Bills reciever) and latest claim to fame Danny Woodhead also was a CSC Eagle.
That said, if these players need that much cheerleading going on to motivate them to excell there is no question as why their program sucks. Good luck in the I'm a Texas Bitch conference
@CRCPfootball08 I just don't understand all the cheerleading. you can be intense without all the cheerleading. If you're satisfied with 10 wins and sucking hind tit to Nebraska for the last 75 years good for you. Mizzory hasn't beat NU since the Clownahan err. It's all about being on top and not being satisfied with nothing less for me.
@bm4nu are you retarded nebraska had 10 wins too plus you lost to oklahoma which we won too. like i said GET OFF NEBRASKA'S NUTS, ur talkin like you play for them. oh yeah have fun in the big 10 next year haha i doubt they will have over 5 wins.
@CRCPfootball08 exactly, 10 wins and we/they should of had 13 wins. yeah, yeah. Mizzou beat OU. NU gave them the game. I do agree with you. We may only win 5 games in the big 10 last year. We don't have those automatic W cake walk games like Colorado, Kansas, K-State, Iowa, Mizzou and Baylor.
But, the big 10 wanted 2 quality schools to join their conference and we all know who got denied and who got the invitation.
@bm4nu And Quit calling it cheerleading since you play football you should know how important a brotherhood is. Knowing that everyone in that locker room has you back and is cheering you on 100 precent of the way, making you better. IDK why you keep complaing about these guys passion for the game of football. This is what more teams need. And you were saying that you cant be satisfied with 10 wins even tho NU did. (Should have had 13)?? that dosent matter the fact is you got 10 the same as MU.
Jack Meiners squated 800 pounds 5 times...trust me man no one at the smaller schools can do that nor from top to bottom as a team put up the numbers Mizzou can, or the other D1 schools. I have been in weight rooms at all the levels and the smaller schools have 4-5 guys who put up really great numbers and once again Mizzou has at least 20. Hey it's ok that D1 schools over looked you...no need to be sour about it.
D3 and D2 teams may have a few guys who can lift that weight but D1 schools have 20-25 guys on the team that can put up bigtime numbers. That's ridiculous to say that they are just as strong as Mizzou.
@MizzouFootball4Life Yea man im in a D2 school and there are plenty of guys who can lift a lot more. Remember, these players in D2 and D3 are not there cz they are not as good as D1 players, its because they never got their chance to show what they have for example, injuries, grades. Me personally it was injury and grades. Im sticking to my D2 no matter what even if I had the chance to play D1.
Not trying to take anything away from them, great program but I wanna show D3 some love. you see a lot of D3 programs doing the same weight, but these crazy assholes have speed. god I love college ball
