You guys don't seem to grasp the idea of Big 4. It's the Big 4 of thrash, not metal in general and those 4 bands were the biggest 4 thrash bands when the thrash was created in the 80's. Oh and Jesus Saves, At dawn they Sleep, Chemical Warfare, Hell Awaits, Raining blood etc. are so much darker, faster and brutal than Pantera. I love Pantera they are in my top 3 and Phil's my favorite singer but they had filler songs, or songs that I always skip, where as classic Slayer have 6 classic albums.

Metallica went radio rock, Megadeth toned down their sound to Heavy Metal/rock. Pantera went from straight up Heavy/Speed to undertalented, uncreative Groove Metal that is the main reason Nu-Metal, -core and shit modern metal bands like LoG exist today.
