I just felt compelled to disrupt my 4000 word last-minute essay to come on here and tell you that this is one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard. No time for analysis right now (as seems to be the spirit of some of these comment), as I literally have about two hours left to make up 1000 more words of bullshit for my essay, but yeah, this is bloody good. I think I particularly love the middle bit; it's like some pocket of existense outside of the universe, looking in. Love it all though.

imo any song that took more than 20 mins of effort probably takes more than 1 listen to appreciate. musicians who are in it for the craft spend hours on top of hours building words, chords, notes, sounds, rhythms, and whatever else they're using to express what's on their mind. to expect to have a full understanding of this in 3:59 after 1 take is a bit naive, and something we're probably all guilty of.

that said, i loved this song in the first 4 bars and i like more & more each time i listen

However if someone doesn't get the aesthetics of exactly that aspect more or less right away, I think the road to full appreciation would require more than just a few plays of this song. Not everyone gets a kick out of chord structure a la Tribal Tech, Allan Holdsworth, et al... I do though :-) But beyond analysis, Louis' and Genevieve's music just releases massive amounts of dopamine in my brain.

@mickys514 I think this is yet another pristine piece of brilliantly inspired work from Louis and Genevieve.. I gotta let you know though that she doesn't sing out of key at any point really. It's just that the harmonization underneath is very advanced, with a lot of chromatic changes, and lines and stuff going on all the time. The melodic lines of the vocal are an elaboration / empasis of those changes, thus fully coherent... It may be too much for some people, but I happen to LOOOVE IT!!! xD

This is absolutely unbelievable. The spuratic nature of Louis' composition, as far as beat and melody goes. Aswell as the more mellow and soothing soundscapes.. And also, Genevieve. There's something so amazingly attractive about her presence in vocals. Despite her being capable of singing in a calm, soothing, enchanting state. In this she also manages to make simply 'talking', very intresting to listen to. Can't wait for the new album. Favourited, liked, and shared.
