  • fuck! Mean as.

  • This is such unbelievably original sounding music. It's like Miles' Bitches Brew or Tony Williams' Lifetime was in the late 60's. Nothing else like this out there.

  • Nice sound

  • This is about to be the first album I've purchased in years.

  • soooooo funky!!!!!

  • This shit is killer. Can't wait to get the CD.

  • badass as always!

  • I don't like a lot of your stuff, it's a little too weird for my preferences, but this song rocks me to the bone. Awesme! I'm probably gonna be listening to this for the rest of the week.

I still gotta listen to more of your music to see what songs I like. :D

  • How much of your music is notated and how much is from memory or improvised?

  • You guys blow my fucking mind.

  • Why iTunes?, why? I fucking hate anything to do with apple they're dirty, yet your awesome. I love guys but can only listen on here :S sucks to be itunes.

  • @mickys514 They make it easy for artists - that's the bottom line.

  • Please someone like Bjork around listening? Can you help these guys to exit into brighter possible ever light scene.

  • Re: Existential angst.. This cuts the mustard!

  • Seriously Hot!

  • So good. I can rock out to this over and over again. Harmonically fantastic. Rhythmically so smooth and kickin'. Hip. So hip. You are pushing in the right direction. I feel you. I feel you.

  • Incredible! Many influences, references, yet entirely yours. I love your almost organic electronic sound. A retro undercurrent, but still cutting edge. Genevieve's hauntingly seductive vox is so greatly in counterpoint to Louis's sharply defined playing - it's all so gooooooood! ~Jon

  • i freaking love this

(btw, why can i imagine someone shuffling to this)

  • fucking incredible

  • Over a month later and I still regard this as one of my favourite songs ever. Cannot wait until you release more.

  • I just felt compelled to disrupt my 4000 word last-minute essay to come on here and tell you that this is one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard. No time for analysis right now (as seems to be the spirit of some of these comment), as I literally have about two hours left to make up 1000 more words of bullshit for my essay, but yeah, this is bloody good. I think I particularly love the middle bit; it's like some pocket of existense outside of the universe, looking in. Love it all though.

  • Great song :D Reminds me of late 70's early 80's Cabaret Voltaire :)

  • Why were they not nominated for best new artist?... oh yeah because they would blow away the rest of the competition!! Love the first album!! Cant wait for the next one!!

  • groooove!!!!!!!!!

  • Just love it! Everythin you two compose is just so fresh. Def. ready for the album to drop. Tour? Merch? =)

  • Freakin awesome. Madd props, groups such as louis and gene, and pomplamoose are on the fronteer to an uprising new brand of music I love and respect.

  • imo any song that took more than 20 mins of effort probably takes more than 1 listen to appreciate. musicians who are in it for the craft spend hours on top of hours building words, chords, notes, sounds, rhythms, and whatever else they're using to express what's on their mind. to expect to have a full understanding of this in 3:59 after 1 take is a bit naive, and something we're probably all guilty of.

that said, i loved this song in the first 4 bars and i like more & more each time i listen

  • Really great piece of music. Genius on the chord structure.

  • My aesthetic views of music don't really mesh with this song. Well done tho. If this came on in a club with lights flashing or a glow in the dark party or whatever other ppl would like it.

  • @BLByline If you listen to it a few more times your aesthetic views of music will improve.

  • @DavidProuty Or maybe not. I fully agree that the chord progression is pure genius. However if someone doesn't get the aesthetics of exactly that aspect more or less right away, I think the road to full appreciation would require more than just a few plays of this song. Not everyone gets a kick out of chord structure a la Tribal Tech, Allan Holdsworth, et al... I do though :-) But beyond analysis, Louis' and Genevieve's music just releases massive amounts of dopamine in my brain.

  • @BullytraxMusic Yeah but classic stuff like Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon or even some Beatles takes more than one listen. If it only takes one listen is there really any depth to it or is just worth the one listen?

  • @DavidProuty Yeah, i see what you mean.. That's true of course... Good point.

  • @bullytraxmusic I did'nt say "out of key" dude, genevieve it's an incredible singer, you put what it is alot better than I could though, just my opinion as a fan, and when you like something alot, you tend to be more critical of it, and if someone wrote a comment as such on one of my songs, i'd be over the moon, simply for thebfact that it sparks that kind of interest in someone. I just hope they release their album somewhere other than itunes, as I refuse to use it.

  • @mickys514 Hey man, yeah she is incredible, and I'm sorry for the inaccuracy, my bad. I know you didn't mean "out of key" - I actually didn't mean that either..:-) Just though sometimes to precisely express my thoughts, since English is not my first language.. But I'm glad that you took the time and were able to deduce the meaning anyway. For sure, the fact that you criticize at all, shows your involvement. And with pure talent unfolding like that, I can't help getting involved either....

  • Da Bomb man !!!

  • Woooooooow !!

  • good morning from Zanzibar - thanx for the music

  • カッコイイ!

  • Thank you for putting a smile on my face. I always enjoy new unique sensory feasts.

  • This is awesome! I am glad to see an original :)

  • You guys are amazing :') I love this song

  • Gah. AMAZINGGG!! I love that this music exists!!!!!!

  • Wau! Impressed!

  • loved it, I didn't expect nothing less from you

keep up the good work :D

  • Holy shit. It's like past, present and future all at the same time!

  • You gave me chills. Keep the good music comin! :)

  • Excellent!

  • I dig it 100%!!!!!

  • You guys are somethin else, in a GOOD way, didn't enjoy this song as much as your others though :/ I like it better when genevieve doesnt do that off-key singing thing. your other songs are more borderline d&b, but better. This is like a kind of 21st century french jazz or something. Either way, my expectations have been so high on discovering a new artist. Your incredible. Peace!

  • @mickys514 I think this is yet another pristine piece of brilliantly inspired work from Louis and Genevieve.. I gotta let you know though that she doesn't sing out of key at any point really. It's just that the harmonization underneath is very advanced, with a lot of chromatic changes, and lines and stuff going on all the time. The melodic lines of the vocal are an elaboration / empasis of those changes, thus fully coherent... It may be too much for some people, but I happen to LOOOVE IT!!! xD

  • So will you be releasing the album on CD this time?

  • @taschentiger No they're going to be doing 8 track.

  • @SequesteredBeats literally i was gonna say the same exact thing haha. well played

  • What do you even call this genre of music? I guess I will call it amazing for now!

  • Freaking Awsome!!!!!!!

    Regards From Brazil!

  • Jack was right, you guys are really entering new musical territory.

  • i'm passing on java this morning. i have officially made it to the edge. more please.

  • Your music is too good!

  • In every instrument Louis plays there is the rhythm of a percussionist. Since he also does all the percussion, it provides for INSANE instrumentation. Genevieve's voice is always so hauntingly appropriate.

  • awesome bass

  • Such a fresh new sound - absolutely love it!! Re the album - how soon is soon??

  • It sounds to me like Devo meets dubstep, but it works! I like it!

  • It's ridiculous how funky & brilliant this is!!! LOVE it!

  • Is this album being released on phonograph?

  • Living rooms, bedrooms, dinettes, oh yeah

    You can find them

    At the market

    We talkin’ ’bout Flea Market

    Montgomery

    It’s just like

    It’s just like,

    a Mini… Mall

  • This is absolutely unbelievable. The spuratic nature of Louis' composition, as far as beat and melody goes. Aswell as the more mellow and soothing soundscapes.. And also, Genevieve. There's something so amazingly attractive about her presence in vocals. Despite her being capable of singing in a calm, soothing, enchanting state. In this she also manages to make simply 'talking', very intresting to listen to. Can't wait for the new album. Favourited, liked, and shared.

  • they are their own sound. And its awesome.

  • Always good.

  • genius

  • This song makes my head overflow

  • love it, i hear a little funk in there. I got to get off my......and do something too....

  • wow impresionante

  • Great job guys, keep up the good work!

  • new album coming soon?! I can't wait!!!
